8.6/10 Excellent! (1,002 reviews)
So, my husband and I reserved this room for one night as we were going to see Keith Urban in Raleigh. We've stayed multiple times at other Embassy Suites and were really impressed. The parking for this one was a little odd (and there is a resort charge daily for parking...). There are some outside spots and a parking garage. The bar has overpriced food and drinks, but the chef took wonderful care of us, whipping us up a special sneak peak of the new menu. The bartender lacked personality and it seemed a chore and bore for him to be there. Upon return from the concert, we told him we'd love to have a nightcap, and although he was still there, he told my husband they were 'closed'. Sheesh. As far as the room: Very outdated,(carpeting/outlets)needs some work. Very weird mirror above bar sink. Dirty windows in bedroom. Bed was very comfortable and loved the extra sink in the bedroom and that the bedroom was offset from the living area with another door. Complimentary drinks were cheap well drinks and wine. Breakfast was excellent, including choice of made-to-order omelets, fresh fruit, muffins, pancakes, yummy bacon, etc. Ample seating.
Disliked all the kids running about wet and dripping from the pool, including in the elevator. It was tacky, invasive and dangerous to say the least.Seems like supervision or policies should be in place and enforced. Would not stay at this Embassy Suites again for the price. Only average to us.
