Cadillac Area Lakefront Cottage with Boat - All Season

This newly renovated lakefront cottage offers an affordable family vacation on a quiet private lake (Stone Ledge Lake) near Cadillac. This all-sports lake is large enough for skiing and jet skis, but small enough (no public access) to limit the number of large boats. The lake offers good fishing for large-mouth bass, northern pike and panfish. A rowboat and paddleboat are included. We're proud to report that our family of Loons has returned this year and offer great viewing and relaxing sounds. We also see the bald eagles regularly. The lake at the cottage has a sandy bottom and is good for swimming. Enjoy beautiful sunsets from the lakeside deck and reconnect with your family and friends around the lakeside campfire (wood is provided).

The cottage is clean and comfortable. The kitchen is fully furnished. You just need to bring your own food. Guests are expected to clean the cottage when leaving and leave it in the same condition that they find it.

The cottage is close to Cadillac with convenient shopping, restaurants and various tourists attractions. There are 10 golf courses within 25 miles and 4 separate casinos within 75 miles of the cottage. Lake Michigan beaches are only 50 miles away (Manistee) and the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Leelanau Pennisula, Traverse City and Petoskey areas make convenient day trips.

The Cadillac area also offers a vast network of paved and unpaved trails for biking and hiking. We are located in the Manistee National Forest for hiking and hunting adventures. We are close to world-class trout streams and rivers. Great lakes charter fishing is also a popular choice.

Great week
Great place to stay! One if the best furnished kitchens we've had through VRBO. Assortment if dinnerware, pots and pans, cookie sheets, cake pans, crock pot and lots of leftover storage containers. Bed was comfy. Nice assortment of movies. Nice picnic table and patio table and chairs on back deck. Eric was very friendly and helpful.

A Great Vacation Destination

The experience was overall great. Awesome responce from manager when furnace had a problem. It was fixed right away. Place could use cable for the TV. The antenna needed aluminum foil for any kind of reception. Overall a great experience. Thanks!

Awesome Lake Cottage!
We stayed here for a week in June and loved every minute of it. Cozy, comfortable cottage with excellent fishing right out the front door. Owner very easy to deal with. Beautiful Lake and Lakehouse
We family vacation every year and this has been by far the most enjoyable. The lakehouse was clean and well stock with quality kitchens needs for cooking great breakfasts enjoyed on the picnic table on the porch...even had hot dog skewers for the campfire and a gas grill.Fishing was great and lake great for kids. It is 10ft deep at its deepest but 6ft most everywhere else. Eric was extremely nice!!! Hope to come back again on another vacation. Gem for the price!!!

A great time, of course the weather was outstanding, which makes it even better. Cottage was clean, everything needed was supplied and communication with property manager was awesome. Eric even stopped by on the first day to see if everything was okay and if we needed anything. Fishing of the dock was so fantastic that we never even used the boat to go out on the lake, which we had planned to do. We caught a gazillion bluegills, about 30 very large pumpkinseeds, 2 pike and several bass, with one of those the biggest I ever caught and measured 22 inches long and about 6 lbs. Obviously the stay was only one week, but the great memories will be with us forever.

Bad weather didnt stop us from having a great time.
Although the weather was less than ideal all week (cant control that) we had a great week. The lake was not busy at all which made for great kayak fishing. Caught lots of pike and a few bass. Saw a bald eagle patrolling the lake as well as lots of other water fowl. On thos rainy, windy days we were able to make the short trip to Cadillac and have dinner and a few beers. Overall it was a relaxing place to stay and would rent this cottage again next year.

Well maintained property. Quiet neighborhood. Large deck is located right on the pretty lake. Morning and late afternoon loon sighting. Perfect stargazing on the cloudless nights. Had a wonderful week and will return.

Perfect relaxing stay

Peaceful and tranquil vacation
Very restful vacation on a very quiet lake. The cottage was perfect with everything we needed for our stay. The owner was so accommodating allowing us to bring our Sheltie. The area is tranquil and the wildlife was amazing to see in the lake!
