Join an organized cruise or sailing visit to dive or snorkel on the Great Barrier Reef in the Coral Sea. Ferries leave from nearby Cairns Marlin Marina for visits to Green Island and Fitzroy Island.

Head farther inland for outstanding rainforest expeditions. Stop a short distance from Cairns at the waterfall and freshwater swimming hole of Crystal Cascades or ride high above the canopy on the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway to explore Kuranda National Park.
Cairns Central Business District is filled with activities too. Shop at the Cairns Night Markets, with refreshingly inviting air-conditioned comfort after a day outdoors. The Cairns ZOOM and Wildlife Dome offers an unusual and exciting mix of wildlife interactions and thrilling high ropes activities.
Fly into Cairns Airport from Australian or international cities. Rent a car or arrange hotel or private shuttles to access attractions outside town. You’ll find plenty to do for a week or more with outdoor land and sea activities during the day and dining and entertainment in the evening.
