"Front desk staff were so welcoming & helpful, especially Marissa! Breakfast staff were friendly. Didn’t meet housekeeping but they did a lovely job with the room. Comfortable bed, in a quiet & nice-sized room. Very conveniently located, 3 minutes from the train station & RailAir bus stop (to LHR) — as well as being right by the high street & some nice restaurants. Close to the Oracle mall for more shops and a selection of restaurants along the river. Look forward to returning in the future!"

"The apartment was spacious, modern and clean. We had everything we needed - including a hob and oven, a fridge/freezer and a washing machine, as well as the standard hairdryer, iron and ironing board. The building is secure, and despite being close to Oxford Road, we were not disturbed by traffic noise. We were staying at the apartments during the heatwave, and a powerful fan was provided, which was helpful as we were on the top floor and had skylight-style windows, which meant it was swelteringly hot - I'm sure it's nice and cosy in cooler weather though, as there was an adjustable thermostat. The only inconveniences were the freezer compartment, which would not stay shut, and the fact that we only had one set of keys between two of us. Being fair to the Kennet Apartments team, we didn't ask if there was an option to have a second set. The Kennet Apartments team were very helpful when I had issues sending the deposit, and by arranging for us to stay extra nights at short notice without having to move apartment. They were also quick to spot that we had left an item behind and organise getting it back to us. We were very impressed with their professionalism and friendliness. We would definitely stay again!"

"It was just ok. Location was excellent for us which is a big plus but let down by poor communications (no response to phone calls or emails at all). Check in instructions were sent, but after check in time. I wanted to confirm the arrangements upfront as it was getting to the stage where I thought I would need to arrange alternative accommodation. In addition, the flat itself was frankly, filthy. Dirty toilet, shower, all work surfaces covered in dust. It is a really small place so would take next to no time to clean but clearly had not been done. As I said overall ok, I would not have been happy if I was staying longer and the owner does need to understand that it is important to be contactable. "

"This room was simple, but clean and the shower was good. The owner gave me an upgrade so that I did not have to share a bathroom. For the price, it exceeded my expectations."

"While the hotel is older, the rooms are spacious, the people are so helpful with bringing bags early, nice check-in etc. the restaurant is great and breakfast is free. Very nice all round! "

"Unfortunately the house has seen better times, the flooring is in a bad state of of repair, sockets hanging of the walls and what looks like telephone cables loose and not connected, luckily we did not have young children with us otherwise I would have said unsafe. There was no heating or hot water in the property and whilst the host offered to get someone in on the 2nd night there was still no hot water which meant the family had to find alternatives. It’s also worth noting that whilst we booked the whole house we were left just 3 small towels, in hindsight it was a good job there was no hot water. After paying what felt like quite a bit, we were expecting a little more from what was a tired and somewhat grubby property, leaving us very disappointed and we certainly won’t be returning."
