Very comfortable accommodations. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. We had a minor glitch at check in, However , the staff worked diligently for 15 minutes and got the situation resolved. Very impressed with their calm demeanor working through this issue. . Highly recommend Chama River Lodge.

The Chama Riverbend Lodge was recommended by friends who fly hot air balloons and stay there when flying Chama. We booked through their website which uses Expedia services, so in the future we will simply call them direct to book. While an older property, the rooms were neat and clean with TV, microwave, and refrigerator. The front desk folks were very helpful, and checked the space heaters since it was a chilly October night; it snowed the next day while riding the Cumbres & Toltec steam engine train to see the beautiful mountains and fall colors. There was ample parking for trailers and rigs. It was cozy and quiet and we got a good night sleep.

The customer service team was amazing! They truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and ensure every issue was taken care of. They made us feel comfortable, cared for, and like family. The setting was peaceful and beautiful. We would highly recommend them to anyone.

The cabin was very basic. Clean and had a good bbq grill. Could have used more pots and pans. Window a/c in the bedroom was noisy and could not cool entire cabin. Compared with other cabins I’ve stayed at in “fishing” areas, this one was pricey for what you got. Not much competition in Chama.

Room was clean & in good condition. Air conditioning & ceiling fan worked well to keep the room comfortable. Refrigerator & microwave worked well & were useful for me. Shower stall is a bit small & floor of shower was slippery. They should put some type of non-slip mat done.

Great little place at a great price

This was a well-priced hotel in the location I was seeking to ride the nearby scenic railroad. The lady at the front desk was ready for my arrival and helped with a tip for a nearby restaurant! The room was clean and had all the amenities to make our stay easy.
