Was Good
Unique property. Minor issues, grill was not clean.. had to scrape and wipe off side trays, grease/food on them. Some of the silverware was dirty. The cleaning feel is quite a bit, so I expected better. Overall those small issues didn’t upset our stay. I think the fire pit would have been better on the driveway side of the house so you could enjoy the sunset. Where it is now you have to turn off the AC unit because it’s loud if you want to enjoy it. The walk to the cemetery was nice, but the neighbor decided to mow his grass a lot so the noises were less than enjoyable.

Romantic Retreat
Everything was just as pictured. What a beautiful, peaceful, serene place. We had a couples getaway and enjoyed every second. The accommodations and area were both perfect. I highly recommend this little chapel and hope to stay again one day!

There are not enough words to express just how Wonderful this Hidden Gem is yet so Centrally located to All the local Activities… We spent hours taking Photo’s of the Chapel and Exploring the Property and Enjoying the Views not only outside but inside as well… It is Beautifully restored and Decorated and We Enjoyed it so Much I literally already want to go back and we have not even been Home a Week!!! We Nicknamed the Iron Duff Chapel “ Amazing Grace “ Because it is literally so Amazing inside and out and was such a Peaceful Retreat for Our Souls… Thank You to the Owners for sharing this Amazing Treasure with us and for All the Special touches throughout that made our stay Our Favorite VRBO spot Yet!!!! Book It…You will Absolutely Fall in Love with it too!

Amazing anniversary weekend getaway
We had a fantastic time and a very comfortable stay. Waynesville, a darling mountain town just 15 minutes away; filled with shopping and wonderful restaurants. We spent a day reading and relaxing in the mountain tranquility of the Chapel. We will definitely be coming again.

Best Getaway Ever!
This was a getaway trip for me and my BFF. I can't love this place enough! We've never stayed in a 100+ year old church so it was an awesome experience. Just to see the history that was still intact gave you goose bumps. The furnishings were gorgeous and the accommodations were impeccable. Loved having two sides to the bathroom so we each had our own space. The shower was massive! The bed was super comfy and there was just so much space through the whole place. Loved the swing in the living room! The kitchen was so cute with the old replica stove. And who thinks to put a piano in the kitchen?! But it was such a unique touch. Loved having a firepit to sit around with a glass of wine. I will definitely be back but I can't decide if I want to bring my BFF again or my husband! Thanks Catey!

Relaxing Stay
Accommodations were very nice. The house was very unique and clean. The upper areas were serene. We did have a fire pit one night that was fun. The checkout instructions were a bit too demanding for us to clean, wash sheets, run dishwasher etc for the almost $200 cleaning fee charged. I don’t mind doing the extra cleaning prep, but to charge that much- not right. Driveway not as bad as it first seems.

Cool Unique Property
Have never stayed in a church before…what a piece of history. Was comfortable and beautiful, the original stained glass windows were incredible. Bed was very comfortable, oversized shower in the bathroom , the living room is basically the old sanctuary so tons of room. Cozy back porch and garden area with a good assortment of fire flies to welcome you. We didn’t use the loft area, probably worth noting that the stairs are really step and would be challenging for children. We loved staying there. Catey was super friendly and shared some of the history of the chapel with us.

Unique experience
It’s not every day that you spend the night in a church house. I could almost hear the preacher delivering his sermon well, over 100 years ago, with the people filling the sanctuary and hanging on every word. The history of the building made it a very special experience, and it was renovated beautifully. The area around Waynesville was a delight too. We got in a couple of hikes and spent time with friends. Somehow, we slept longer and more soundly than we can ever remember! Would highly recommend it.

This gorgeous property is the perfect getaway. From the swing in the living area to the stained glass windows to the amazing outdoor areas, this place has it all. An Experience
This place was just stunning! We have never stayed in a place so nice! The views from the hill top cemetery were just breath taking. The neighbor's dog even walked us up and down the hill each afternoon. Precious! Everything here is as comfortable as it is beautiful. Comfortable bed. Comfy couch. Loved the kitchen! We had a great time all around and can't wait to come back.

Great Birthday Retreat from Home
The Chapel is everything as advertised. Its cozy for a couple in the master and spacious for a group in the main floor with a loft that is great for a visiting couple. it was very cold during our January stay including snow. But, we stayed warm in the chapel with the ceiling fans circulating the warm air down to us. One caution, the stairs are STEEP. So, the loft is not suitable for young kids or the elderly. Otherwise, everything was great and we really enjoyed our stay.
