“The house was great. The community was very quiet and peaceful. Our time in the house was limited because we were away a majority of the time watching baseball games. We were hoping to take in more of the community on Sunday. However, it was raining. So, we had to leave. We hope to come back in the future when we have more time. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything needed. Communication with the owner was great. Thank you for the hospitality.”

“I love the location of this property on the lake. There is a swing below the deck that is the perfect place to have a morning cup of coffee. The office staff is friendly and very helpful with a full list of restaurants and things to do. Callaway Gardens is beautiful this time of year, and this chalet was perfect for our long weekend getaway!”

“I will start with the pros first because that list is short. It was a great location to venture to Calloway Gardens, LaGrange or Columbus. Other than that, the place was pretty disappointing. Issues...the first thing that hits you when you walk in the door is the smell of mold...like a musty basement smell. Not a nice cabin smell, but a musty, feel like you are going to get sick, smell. Initially the place looked clean, but when you started to really look around, the bathtub in the master was...

“Our chalet was so cute and cozy! We had a wedding to attend at Callaway Gardens and this property was no more than 5 minutes from the Gardens. The staff were so kind and helpful, and the chalet itself was perfect. Especially with our three dogs! I would definitely recommend staying in any of the chalets on this property!”

“This was a very nice surprise. Some of the reviews aren’t too kind but we gave it a chance and it was older, yes, but it couldn’t have been cleaner. Kitchen was stocked with enough items to cook several meals. Checkin was easy, staff was friendly. Checkout was easy. Perfect spot when visiting Callaway and the Safari. I’ll be returning. No complaints here.”

“The cabin was cozy. I didn’t like having to check in and out at an office. I prefer a lock code or more flexibility with the checkin/out process (the office staff were extremely friendly and courteous) The cabin was clean, but every single one of the chalets we viewed had carpet in the bedrooms and it was old/ outdated. It would have felt cleaner with no carpet. Overall, we had a nice relaxing time and would like to return with our children.”

“The house was nice. Large enough for our family and well equipped. The only issue was the carpet really needs a deep cleaning or replacing. There was a very strong smell and I feel is likely due to the carpet. We did enjoy the house and it has been updated nicely. The owners suite is very large, as is the downstairs bedroom, with a couch and loveseat. Nice TVs, good internet, a must for teenagers and football season. Close to everything.”

“This was suppose to be a relaxing getaway with our pets. Check-in process was great. Mickey did her job well! Once we walked in to the chalet we were shocked at the appearance. Very worn furniture, bottom of walls were dirty and all scratched up, dead bugs on floor upon arrival. We also were looking forward to the screened in back porch which was filthy and so were the cushions in the chairs. This place needs to be renovated, cleaned, painted and updated. We didn’t even feel comfortable to leave...

“We really enjoyed our stay at the chalet. The house had a warm cozy feeling. The rooms was a good size. The living room and dining room was spacious. We just enjoyed our 4 day stay. We will rent again at Pine Mountain a Chalet again.”

“My mother and kids stayed with me, plus my 2 dogs. We played games on the enclosed porch, which was my favorite place. The beds were comfortable. The Rec center, where we played pool and ping pong, is very close to the chalet, as is the playground. We enjoyed area attractions like Pumpkins at Callaway, Wild animal Safari, and horseback riding at FDR state park. The weather was perfect. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The towels are the sandpaper type that are super small, so bring your own...

“Overall the place was nice we didn’t use the outside space much since it was cold but did note the outside furniture could be updated. The kitchen was updated and had everything we needed. Furniture in the living area was a bit worn. The bedrooms were comfortable. Loved the area and proximity to Callaway Gardens. Merry Christmas!”
