"I liked this little gem in Central Texas. I had seen it before when looking for a halfway point between Houston and Lubbock and came back to it over Thanksgiving break when I needed a place to stay to break up the trip. We had two small kids and dog and this was a great accommodation. We came in at night so we didn't really know what we were looking at and we could tell it was a nice place but it was just different at night. In the morning when I woke up and stepped out onto the porch of my cabin I thought wow this is really cool. My husba nd wished he could have played golf, he even had his golf clubs but we just didn't ha ve time. He thought it would be a great place for a weekend golf getaway with the guys, or the girls. "

You’re taken out in a fully enclosed, climate-controlled side-by-side to explore the 3,000-acre preserve, and it was an experience our whole family will be talking about for years.Another major plus: the roads throughout the ranch are well maintained, so you do not need a 4x4 vehicle. We were able to comfortably drive the property, and the freedom to explore and hike at our own pace made the stay even more enjoyable.We also opted for the personal chef experience, which was a standout highlight of our trip.
