Last night I was able to set up my star tracker and mount up my camera to capture the Orion Nebula. This is the first time I have even attempted something like this. Before I have only used my tracker for wide landscape shots. The three stars on the left are Orion's belt. The Nebula is in the middle of Orion's scabbard. The nebula is estimated to be 24 light years across. It has a mass of about 2,000 times that of the Sun. You can actually see Orion's nebula with the naked eye, that is why the scabbard looks fuzzy. You can also see this with just a pair of binoculars, this image was taken at 200 mm, so not too much zoom.

"We had a nice stay for a weekend trip with 5 people. The GPS directions are a little off and the road to get there is very steep so it would be better to have a well-equipped vehicle but overall the property is accurately listed and not that far from amenities. The cleanliness level could have been better because there was build up on the shower heads and dirty/rusted pots and pans. I think it is about time they are replaced, but overall we enjoyed our stay."
