Easy location for getting around Great Falls. Could have been cleaner. Cosmetic updates in locks, switch plates, shower curtain rods, etc were shoddy. Staff was great. Everybody was hustling for the guests to have a good experience.

We checked in about 9:00pm. I was surprised to find no attendant and to have to do the check-in all by my self on a pin-pad. I had some trouble with the first key card not working, succeeded with my wife's and then went back and got mine done ok. I'm not sure what I think about this. Obviously it is impressive technology to be able to check oneself in. And we didn't have any real problems. But honestly it does feel very sterile and lonely not encountering a human being at the hotel the entire time. I understand it is saving your hotel money and potentially keeping the costs that you charge down. But.... We were happy that the Celtic Cowboy was open, but then disappointed that there was no food served after 9:00pm so we went hungry. In the past, the continental breakfast has been pretty awful, so we just walked over to Tracy's instead.

Property is older and dated and it shows. Also they ran completely out of towels. None at the pool, none to send to the room, none at the front desk. The woman running the front desk was very nice and tried hard even though she had limited resources. The maintenance guy was helpful and delivered the roll away bed very fast. The person running the kitchen was scrambling to keep up. There seemed to be a rather large breakfast rush. I liked the bacon. The pool claims to be 5 feet deep but it's not except in the very center. It's bowl shaped. Kids jumped on the "deep" end and hurt their ankle because it was only 3 feet at the 5 foot mark. I know, they shouldn't jump, but they all do, and this pool is the reason kids get hurt.
