"This hotel is a wonderful find! The courtyard is absolutely incredible—it's a beautiful and peaceful space that makes the entire hotel feel so cozy and inviting. The rooms were decent and very comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which was a huge plus. We were also so impressed with the staff; everyone was exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Our only minor wish is that the hotel had a more robust bar and restaurant. While the current offerings are fine, a more extensive menu and bar would really complete the experience. We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel for its charm, friendly staff, and amazing courtyard. We'd definitely return."

I've taken the whole experience, enjoying the nature and the peace and tranquility. The food was definitely top notch the lobster, it was incredible. I think that's what tempted me to even stay a second day just to eat it again"

It was good for the one night stay, but the beds/pillows were very uncomfortable so it was difficult to sleep well but the location is very close to everything so it was definitely worth it."

"We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was roomy and clean. Water heater didn't seem to be working or maybe they don't heat their water but we found it refreshing coming in from 90's temps. Food is available at the restaurant. Drinks and snacks easily available at any time. Grounds were clean and nice. Bring repellent, tons of mosquitoes. Location was walkable. Restaurants nearby. Beautiful beach with amazing sunsets. "

"The El Belga Loco is a great place to stay, its very clean, all of staff treat you like family, the food is great and the beer is cold, the pool is very clean and it has very easy access to the beach, it was a very enjoyable and relaxing visit !!!!!"

"We stayed on the property 5 days, there were 4 of us. The property is as described, several entrances but if you rent the entire thing, not a problem, I do see a problem with noise if you have to share the property with another party. Everything was well stocked, there is a multiple booklet explains how things work and just some good notes on the property. We were not able to cook or heat up any food so make note of that, perhaps a microwave would be a good addition. The AC units leaked but nothing too bad for the amount of work it was doing. Overall, I would stay here again if a need to stay in the area arises. "

"A Nicaraguan emerging & hidden gem! Although not part of my original itinerary, H & R Ranch is the superior choice. I originally booked my Mar 2024 trip to Nicaragua back in Sept. 2023 without any knowledge of H & R Ranch until the day of my flight. My determination of the unfortunate situation was eased from the moment I phoned H & R Ranch before my last minute booking throughout the duration of my stay at the ranch. The hospitality and experience is more than can be explained in this review, due to Tony's hospitality, my stay at H & R Ranch and the cigar factory tour he arranged has been one of my most cherish trips. H& R Ranch is about a 3-hour drive from the MGA airport, taxi about $100 USD one-way. The ranch appeared to be easy to find for the taxi. Check-in was easy & simple; I quickly found out that most of the team does not speak English, however the language barrier didn’t pose any issues. I was warmly greeted by Maury and we were able to bypass the language barrier to get me check-in. The rooms are as picture, very simple, no glitz & glam but perfect! The food is good, well seasoned. If you want serene, stillness, simple, an escape with breathtaking views and energy along so much more, in addition to Texas size hospitality in Nicaragua (Tony is from Texas) along with his amazing team Vanessa, Maury, Adie, and Jose, than visit Nicaragua and book your stay at H & R Ranch for an unforgettable and priceless experience.
