loved our stay at the Talbott Inn. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive when we asked for suggestions on what to do in the area. I would definitely stay at the Talbott again. We loved the old architecture and history of the Tavern and took time to download the app that was informative of its history.
The room was great and in a fun, historic location! Everything was clean and well kept, and included choice of breakfast each morning. Would stay at Talbott Inn again!
From the moment we walked, we knew this was a special place. Our room was spacious, bed was comfortable, and bathroom was pristine. We also enjoyed the breakfast each morning. The location of this inn is perfect, walking distance to downtown, bars, shops, restaurants. Don’t miss dining in the restaurant for dinner, that was a lovely experience too.
Wonderful experience at the Old Talbott Tavern! The staff were so friendly and the property was so interesting!
Definitely recommend staying in a suite, the bed was extremely comfortable and don’t miss out on the breakfast. So good!
Check in was smooth, location to downtown was a major plus short walk to lots of bourbon bars. I would try to stay on days other than Monday several places are closed.
We loved staying here in the Generals Quarters. So clean and comfortable. The history is amazing and the staff were so friendly and nice. My guys still talk about the french toast at breakfast. We want to come back and stay longer.
The property was excellent, but Talbott Inn Probably needs to mention something about hearing Live Entertainment below rooms 4,5,& 6 while making arrangements. Other than being loud underneath theses rooms, the stay was great. The location was perfect. The balcony is worth the stay as well.

This was an amazing place to stay the staff was so nice
When in or the tavern gives you the map study it before you walk the roads to check everything. Besides that the restaurant and the hotel was very good.
Bardstown is a pretty little community and the people are very friendly. The Inn and Tavern are well-maintained. We stayed on the second floor in front of the building. A gorgeous room with lots of wall outlets. Clean. Large. The street noise was horrible. Every truck or car had a huge muffler that sounded like it was in the room with us. They do supply a white noise machine but this could not compete with the noise. The Inn is pretty but the noise was a deal-breaker. Noise continued throughout the night.
Food at the tavern was good and the staff were very sweet. The breakfast that was included in cost of room was good. Overall a wonderful gem but the traffic noise ruined the experience.
Staff was friendly and told us our room could be noisey due to it being right over bar but should quite down after 11. The noise from bar did , but not from the outside. Street noise and possibly church bells (staff guess when told them) , but really didn’t sound like bells, continued way into the night. The breakfast was just ok. We ordered the traditional. Over easy eggs were greasy, cubed potatoes ( small portion ) and biscuit (only 1 per plate) were hard and cold. Coffee, juice and cereal were self serve. The Hotel was convenient to downtown shops and parking was easy.
Accommodations were great, excellent location and staff was very friendly. The food at the restaurant was good and we really enjoyed the breakfast provided! Would definitely stay here for our next visit.
