Later, fire up the BBQ grill and sizzle up some steaks as the afternoon sun slowly sets through the trees.

NOTE: It is a two mile off road rustic experience to the cabin from the main road, with occasional steep inclines and dirt/gravel terrain. Although 2-wheel drive vehicles can make it with some skilled driving, a 4-wheel drive or AWD is highly recommended. If you are unfamiliar with mountain roads this may not be the cabin for you. Walmart & grocery/fast food stores are plentiful in either Ellijay to the south or Blue Ridge to the north.

Cute comfy cabin
We loved staying here. The beds were comfortable and it was perfect size. The wood burning fireplace was a plus! It rained so we were able to utilize that instead of fire pit. We would stay here again. It rained and the mountain road was slippery. We had a front wheel drive suv and followed the owners instructions and did just fine..no trouble at all getting there.

Just what we needed!
Amanda and Todd were very accommodating and gracious hosts. Our cabin was very cozy and had a very picturesque view. We needed the seclusion and peacefulness to reset from our every day lives and we got it! It was close enough to the downtown area where we can jaunt” down the mountain to eat and shop if we choose to or stay in and light a fire and read a book. I would definitely stay again!

Well appointed, remote, Pinecone Cabin
Four wheel drive a must, however the road is well maintained. The quaint cabin has everything you need in linen and things. The kitchen is suited well for meal prep and presentation. Our littles are grown, however it is a great place and well appointed for both young and old alike. The rocking chairs on the covered porch are sturdy and comfortable for morning coffee. The fire pit and chairs are a great place to sit and gaze or even cook a steak. My wife and I highly recommend Pinecone Cabin. It is a great getaway for a remote experience.

Wonderfully Secluded
Everything was wonderful! Had all the great amenities you need to just relax and have some quiet time. You are definitely in the woods so make sure to bring bug repellent if you want to be outside, especially evenings by the fire pit. The road up is pretty rough, which is why the strong recommendation for the 4wd vehicle. I seriously considered borrowing one for my trip, but I did end up just using my own car (PriusC… so like a toy car LOL :) and there were a couple spots a spun out a little in some lose gravel while having to gun it a bit to get up a hill, but otherwise, no issues just avoiding all the big holes and ruts and such. But I definitely would not want to have tried it in the dark or the rain, so bear that in mind when planning for yourself. Overall, I had a great relaxing time getting away and sitting by the fire pit drinking wine!

Perfect for us
Owners pretty much have this figured out. We didn’t have to do much to have everything we needed. We sat around the camp fire, enjoyed some beverages and catching up with friends. Cabin is plenty big enough for 4 adults. They have Cornhole boards and even had a Bluetooth speaker that was perfect to use at the campfire while relaxing. We got a few trails in. Saw a few waterfalls and enjoyed some good food at the local restaurants. I’m not gonna say that you can make the trip up easily without a 4 wheel drive. However I was expecting way worse than it was. I’m confident I could have made it with about any regular vehicle but keep in mind this is the middle of June with perfect weather. Also I’ve lived around these mountains my entire life so it isn’t big deal to me. Im only mentioning the 4 wheel drive because it may scare some folks off thinking it was too bad to attempt. Unless snow is forecasted I personally wouldn’t sweat it, but that’s me. Amanda was on top of it. She messaged us with details about the cabin and giving us advice from the minute we booked the cabin. She even knew somehow we’d be needing some sort of fire starter that we forgot to pick up on the way to the cabin. She let us know where the fire starter logs were located. I just happened to look at my phone and see I had a message from her while trying to rub two sticks together to create a fire lol. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you Amanda for opening up your cabin to us.

What you think of if you want to be in the mountains
I was actually a little worried that my girlfriend would not like it, but she said multiple times that she loved it. My only complaint is for myself, deciding to drive up the mountain at night in the fog the first time. So do yourself a favor and check in before dinner Ha!. We had two adults and a child and it worked out great. Plenty of supplies. Very clean and quiet. We enjoyed the fire, football, and New Year's. Blue Ridge and Ellijay are a short and pretty drive away. If you like golf I recommend Old Toccoa Farm.
