A lot of the hotels were booked or reserved due to the fire personell. This hotel is older and basic but comfortable.

Cheap price for a reason. Very dated and the neighborhood is dicey. Room faced a Taco Bell drive up and was crowded and noisy.

There was no food but the listing informed us of that so, no problem there. The rooms were very small and we felt the listing misrepresented how it actually was. The air conditioning was a fan. There was a light bulb out in one of the bedside lights. Not knowing the city, we were unaware of what type of area it was in. My husband had been in Crescent City years ago and he mistook this motel for the Curly Redwood Motel where he had stayed and enjoyed.

Bathroom door was so hard to open/close. Carpet seemed dirty, so, wear your shoes. Close to the main road and mornings get noisy. Location is great though! Service was nice.

Very old hotel. Room 25 was very noisy and smelled bad. Hotel was right on Hwy 101 and traffic noise was bad. No Ice. When we arrived, staff was removing a dehumidifier from the room and had left the window open. Red flag right there. Sadly we booked through Expedia and our reservation was not refundable or we would have looked for a different hotel. Required to leave a $100 damage deposit which will be returned after the room is inspected. Woman at front desk very nice and friendly. I would not recommend this hotel.

Stuck in the Middle of 101

First, I was not expecting much, it is an inexpensive room, one in which we stayed only one night as we moved down the coast. Lady at front desk was nice, talked to me while registering (many do not). This lodge is located in the middle of 101, southbound traffic in the front, northbound traffic in the rear. It is noisy, for a start. Restaurants all around you, so no problem with finding food, and a grocery store across the street. A cinema is located behind the establishment. In other words, you are in the thick of it here. Rooms are just that, rooms. A place to stay a night. Bathroom is small, but clean. Beds are a little on the hard side, but okay. No air conditioning so it was stifling, had to open windows to cool the room down.
