Completely protected to the north, it enjoys sun exposure from dawn to dusk, thus offering an exceptional microclimate for most of the year: very mild winters and cool, breezy summers. It has a large terrace, partly covered by a porch, overlooking the Nera valley. The approximately 70 meters of elevation from the bed of the river Nera, as well as offering a breathtaking view overlooking the valley below, allows you to wander to the east on the Monte della Dormiente, south for several kilometers on the Valnerina to the villages of Castel di Lago and Montefranco ; at WEST, where the sun sets, the picturesque village of San Mamiliano. The site, thanks to GPS coordinates, will be easy to get to but much more difficult to leave except with the intention of returning. When we arrived, we parked in the car area, walked up the stone steps through a beautiful arch, and made our way to our apartment. Communication with Paolo was easy, making our arrival delightful. He had a bottle of wine waiting for us as a welcome. Our apartment had a terrace with a beautiful view of the valley and mountains. The apartment is well appointed with everything you would need for your stay. The bed was comfortable, the ac worked perfectly, but at this time of year, you receive a wonderful breeze where the ac is really not needed. The shower had great pressure and everything was exactly what we needed. A car is recommended because of the road access to the home, but this area lends itself to driving for the scenery. Would love to visit again! Wij hebben ons met kleine kinderen (3 en 5) ook vermaakt, vooral in het zwembad, maar stadjes zijn meer dan 30 minuten rijden en dat is vooral met 35+ graden wat veel. Als stel zouden we er ons hart opgehaald hebben met wandelen en eten en genieten van de fijne terrassen en faciliteiten die er voorhanden zijn. Het appartement heeft gelukkig airco wat echt een must was met de temperaturen. Het zwembad is niet groot maar perfect om in te verfrissen. Paolo the host met us in the village and took us up to some steep roads to the appartment which has super outlook.
