We have a planned a day trip to Sanibel Island for a trade show on Friday in Orlando. However, we decided to extend our stay and find a hotel to stay overnight. We would then return to Orlando on Sunday and drive back to Southern California on Monday. The hotel we chose was very pleasant, clean, and well-equipped with kitchen supplies. It also had a collection of seashells. The best time to visiting is June or July when the waters is clear and warmer.

They have been working tirelessly to get the property beck since the hurricanes. Our room was brand new and excellent! Everyone there is extremely knowledgeable and helpful to make sure your needs are met. It’s sad to see the island in such bad shape 3 yrs since Ian. However things are looking up all around and our stay along the beach was wonderful!

This is one of the absolutely best places on Sanibel to stay. Even post hurricaine x 2, the accomodations are extremely clean and well managed. Shelling and beach access here, was amazing!!

We had an incredible stay at the Island Inn for our anniversary, and we can’t say enough about how wonderful this place is. Ken and the entire staff went above and beyond to make our trip truly special, and their kindness and attention to detail made us feel right at home. The rooms were very comfortable with breathtaking beach views, and the hotel provided so many thoughtful free amenities—like beach chairs and umbrellas—that made our days by the ocean even better. The screened porch was perfect for relaxing (citronella candles from the store were a lifesaver for the no-see-ums), and we loved how welcoming and friendly everyone was throughout our stay. Even with parts of the property still being rebuilt, the Island Inn already feels like a slice of paradise. We can’t wait to see it fully restored and will definitely be making all of our future Sanibel stays here. Highly recommend this gem to anyone visiting the island!

The place is clean and nice , but the price is too high for what the hotel offers. It doesn't have a gym, there's no restaurant, they don't have a pool. Nothing to do in that hotel

The Hotel was exactly what I WANTED, easy to get to the beach (very few people there), Chairs and umbrellas in place on the beach, able to see the beach from my balcony, great shelling! We will be back, cannot say enough great things!

The staff at the Island Inn was wonderful. The communication great! With the location on the beach there was no need to go to any other beach and pay for parking. The room was beautiful and had everything you needed for a great vacation. Will stay here every time we visit Sanibel Island.

The property/room was exceptional! Very nicely decorated, good amount of supplies, designated parking, just a short walk to the beach. After Hurricane Ian this place was one of the first to reopen. It is Amazing!! Loved it and will be back again!

Sanibel is a beautiful, tropical island. We woke to a gorgeous sunrise, steps away from the seashell beaches of the gulf side of the island, had delicious meals and ended our day watching a magnificent sunset. Our accommodations at the Sanibel Inn were perfect as was the reception we received upon arrival & throughout our stay.

Sanibel is still in recovery following Hurricane Ian in 2022, but there is movement on the island and we were happy to return this summer. The Island Inn was one of the commercial properties that sustained significant damage but they managed to reopen in a limited capacity, and we're glad they did. It was our first time staying there and we would definitely return as their recovery and rebuilding continues.

Overall, this was a great property. Good amenities and accommodations. Disappointed to find on arrival that the restaurant and bar was not open even though the resort was full. As we were only staying for two nights, we had planned to not leave the property.

Fantastic place to stay! We arrived early but no problem to let us have the room as they had finished cleaning. Beautiful room, all the things you need in a well equipped and immaculate kitchen. Brilliant beds, air-con and a view to die for of the beach. Really quiet and very safe as the beach is for residents only. Loads of beach beds, shades, canoe’s, swimming pool with showers. Didn’t use the restaurant but would imagine it will be good. Definitely will come again! A***

This property is oceanfront with direct access to the beach from the lanai. There was a large screened lanai with chairs and a table. Everything was clean and the staff was very helpful. There was daily cleaning but, we decided not to use it because it was raining and we were stuck inside. When I went outside there were a bag of fresh towels at the door. I didn’t even ask for them. I would recommend this property.

Love how quiet and private the beach is here. Nothing flashy here. Just the beach and a decent room. Close to Jerrys grocery and Doc Fords. What more could you ask for. Staff is friendly and rooms are nice overall. Only complaints was the AC not working which we did not realize until later when we got back from dinner. Too late to really get anything done about it. The furniture in this room was little dirty. Could use a steam cleaning. We will come back because overall it is what we are looking for. Beachfront. Remember that this area has a lot of damage still unattended to from the hurricane. Keep that in mind. A lot of fenced in construction type scenery.
