Cannot say enough good things about the Tarpon Tale Inn! Joe and Connor went above and beyond welcoming us and communicating with us to make sure our stay was perfect. Very clean, food, coffee, ice cream, and shopping across the street and right next door. The free bikes and beach stuff were awesome. They have literally thought of EVERYTHING! Even a shell washing station. Will DEFINITELY be back!

What a great place to stay on the island! The staff was so welcoming and helpful to all the property had to offer. The proximity to the beach with the bikes and the availability of having all we needed for the beach. Then having a great place to relax and sleep at. Would stay here again!

This place was beautiful and very accommodating. It was a short walk or bike ride to the beach. The room had everything we needed and beach chairs, beach cart and bicycles were provided. It was right across from a coffee and ice cream shop and a nice restaurant and a gift shop. I will definitely be back to visit.

As with most places on Sanibel, this is a family-run small business and they are eager to please. This was the perfect location for our family to call home for a week, was right next door to a family-run convenience store, across the street from ice cream, dining & shopping, and on the main thoroughfare to get to everything else on the island via car. I didn't take pics of it because honestly, that's why you go to Sanibel, to do nothing other than go to the beach, collect cool sea shells, and shop. The kitchen had everything you could need and a full-size fridge was handy for the grocery store items on the non-restaurant nights. It was a truly memorable, enjoyable and comfortable home for a week and we hope to be able to go again next year!

This property is a very quaint in that it provides a private patio area for each room along with quite a bit of shared space. I never heard the people in the other rooms, so it was very quiet and just a 5 minute walk to the beach.

The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable. There's a patio with table outside front door. The area is nice and quiet. The owner of the property was super nice and very helpful. The beach is a 5 minute walk. Definitely will consider staying for a whole week the next time

Enjoy Sanibel Beach!

Tarpon Tale Inn is conveniently located on east end of Sanibel Island. The Inn is right across the street from a really good restaurant (loved the coffee) and Magic Bus Ice Cream shop. The bed was very comfortable. Just need to be cautious of the step up into the bathroom! The hosts were very flexible! Proximity to beach - excellent (2 blocks) Property provides bikes, beach towels, beach chairs and umbrella!!

Wonderful experience. Very quiet and area felt safe. When we arrived we got a quick, helpful tour from Maureen around the complex. They provided beach equipment an umbrella, beach wagon, towels, chairs. The beach was a quick 5 min walk away. They have a grill and different seating areas around the property to enjoy. There is a restaurant and coffee shop across the street and a deli next door. The property has free bikes you can use during your stay. We stayed in the Birdhouse room. Which was perfect for our stay. It was a nice, quiet, clean place. We would happily stay again!

The property had great location! Lighthouse beach was a short walk down the street. The property was nicely cared for on the outside & very clean & quiet on the inside . Joe was super helpful & answered all our questions & had great suggestions for sight seeing . Everything was provided from bikes to shelling equipment . A wonderful place to spend a week !!!
