“We stopped in Geilo because of the way back to Oslo from Bergen. We knew nothing before arrival but we finally knew that it’s the great place for skiing. After our arrival, we checked in at 7 or 8 pm but the staff still told us the necessary information. The room is spacious but the interior of the ground and underground are in progress of renovation. “Good location in the centre of Geilo. We had a two bed apartment with a lounge area, kitchen and bathroom. Very comfy bed. Downsides, you can't specify where in the block you want to be. Although we booked over 6 months ago, hoping for a view, we found ourselves on the ground floor looking over some sheds/shacks with very little view of the spectacular scenery. Also, obtaining the key relies on a mobile phone with access to the Internet as there is no person at a reception on site to help. ”

"Communication was slow and inefficient (they only replied a message in three days or so). Arrived late on the day and already told the camp site, then found that they didn’t provide the self check-in code as they thought payment was missing. Contacted hotels.com staff who was so nice to fix that. Upon checking in, the amenities were on a rather self service basis, That’s not too much of a problem, but we didn’t expect to put together even the beddings by ourselves by paying not a cheap amount of money. Used utensils had to be cleaned by ourselves and trash had to be disposed of by ourselves too. "

"The room is smaller than expected, basically no space for luggage. Too many cushions on the bed given not a comfortable sofa is provided. The pool club is pricy without upfront information and surprisingly not free for hotel guests. There is no electric kettle or coffee maker in the room. Nevertheless, the breakfast is great. "
