Dahlonega Wine Country Retreat at Cardinal Hill

Your search ends here. This one-of-a-kind beautiful property is in the heart of North Georgia wine country. It is a completely private apartment and bath. You can walk to Kaya Winery and it is a 1/2 mile to Frogtown Winery. Four other wineries are within minutes. We are situated with the Chattahoochee National Forest and all of its hiking possibilities right in our backyard. A five minute walk to our pond winds through a shady forest trail. The views from this retreat are magnificent in all seasons. Dahlonega, Helen, Sautée-Nacoochee (delightful gem) and Cleveland are all an easy short drive away. Enjoy a relaxing stay with hosts who are thrilled to share the beauty of this property! We can extend the check in/out if the calendar allows, giving you more time at no additional cost!

Many people travel the area on motorcycles or in convertibles/Jeeps in order to experience its beauty. Bicyclists also enjoy the mountain challenge.

There is no end to the activities within close reach: wine hopping, hiking, shopping, restaurants, fishing, rafting. We have provided a variety of resources on what to do in the area.

We are so happy to host you and strive to make this one of your best stays ever! Many guests comment in our reviews that the pictures don’t do it justice. Come see for yourself!

We are on-property and happy to interact with our guests, but we are also fine with laying low and giving you privacy. Please note there are stairs in the unit. The bath is ground floor with the apartment above. The apartment is equipped with a kitchenette area. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Beautiful Property
We had an unexpected hiccup with the check-in process, but the property owners responded in a very timely manner. We enjoyed the nearby winery, Kaya, and had a very restful evening after a long day of hiking. The property is immaculate with beautiful landscaping. You can tell they take tremendous pride in everything they do!

This was our first time staying here and when I come back to Georgia, I will definitely stay here again. The host were wonderful and everything was perfect and exactly as it is pictured (except more beautiful in real life). I highly recommend staying in this lovely area.

I stayed here with 2 friends for a quick girls getaway! Everything was wonderful! We couldn’t beat the location! The space had a cottage feel and was warm and welcoming! I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We would definitely recommend this property and would return in a heartbeat! It was very clean and everything was provided. The pictures do not do this property justice as it’s really beautiful. The owners were so incredibly nice and the communication was great when needed.

Nice and quiet
Nice little apartment for a short stay. We were there 2 nights which was perfect for what we wanted to do. Went to Dahlonega. Wineries are nearby, we went on a hike to the Amicalola falls. It was very a beautiful location, the alpacas and pups on the property were very very cute. Made some steaks on the grill one evening. Pleasant stay. Thank you.

Otter this World!!
My fiancé and I stayed here so she could enjoy the Otter Experience at the North Georgia Wildlife Center. We also visited Helen which was such a wonderful Bavarian town. This apartment was just what we needed to make this trip possible!! It was comfortable, cozy, and everything we needed was provided. The owners kept in touch to make sure our needs were met. I would definitely stay here again!! We had a wonderful time!!

Gorgeous!
This property was so amazing. We were guests for a wedding a Kaya vineyard over the weekend and this location was perfect. Less than a five minute drive down the road. Everything was super clean and so nicely decorated . 10/10 would stay here again.

My sister and I enjoyed the peace and tranquillity of this eclectic space! And Jay was so kind to build a fire in the fire pit, for extra ambiance and relaxation for a very chilly evening! Nice cozy property
Overall great stay especially for a short stay like ours where you plan to be out because it is attached to the host property. With this said it was very clean they were very nice and we have privacy but did have some interaction with the host and their dogs. The view is beautiful very close to multiple wineries and places to eat. We enjoyed our short stay. I would recommend if you are open to this type of arrangement it was our 1st time staying with the host onsite but overall pleasant.
