"My family of 10 had a wonderful stay in this mountain home in the Highlands. The host welcomed us with a bottle of wine and answered any questions within minutes. He also provided a list of activities and places to eat before our arrival. We enjoyed hiking the mountain trails which were all about 10 minutes away, eating in the local eateries, & participating in the local events. We were all very comfortable with our own rooms and baths. That was beautiful and clean. The host also provided board games for my children and adults that was well suited for all with large TV, couch and checker board table. There is also an additional game room with air hockey, ping pong and other activities we enjoyed. The adults could also gather inside on the main floor living room. We used the large outside deck to relax around the fireplace & to eat at the large dining table. We also were able to enjoy our own private decks that overlooked the mountains where we could hear the creek below. The host also provided a clear and easy instruction for check out. This was definitely a great home to stay for our family. It was easy, absolutely beautiful, most definitely relaxing and very private. We all left better than when we arrived. "

"Our stay could not have been more perfect.We felt David spoiled us with amenities that went beyond a 5 Star Hotel. What a treat it was to walk into such a beautiful space and have wine , amazing snacks and a refrigerator stocked with all that one would need. Our club will definitely return. "Quiet Clean Close to town "

"The cabin was wonderful escape from the heat and humidity of Myrtle Beach! The cabin was cozy and comfortable and the location was perfect - situated in between the towns of Highlands and Franklin. Dry Falls and Bridal Veil Falls were close and accessible. We tried to hike down to the falls on the property, but it was a little too difficult for us (three senior ladies)! We enjoyed shopping and antiquing in the area and we found some great places for dinner. The cabin was well-equipped, with everything you might need. The beds were comfortable, plenty of places to gather and plenty of places to find solitude. This would be an amazing place for families with children, with lots of places to explore around the cabin. The kids (and adults) won't even miss their electronic devices (cell service is sketchy) - a great opportunity to unplug and just enjoy the beauty of nature!I would make one small suggestion: If you plan to gather at the large table in the living room area to play cards, color, crochet or do any crafts that require good lighting, I would bring along a lamp of some type to supplement the lighting in the room. Overall, we LOVED it and were sad to leave after our 3-night stay. We hope to return some day!"

"I never received any check in information prior to my stay. I finally got the code to the house about 20 minutes after I was at the property waiting to get in. The property was very hard to find, poorly marked, and uber would not pick us up from there. There was no WiFi the entire time and when the host sent me the WiFi information it wouldn’t even pull up. The host didn’t try to help, and when I called he would not return any calls nor assist. I felt extremely unsafe without service or WiFi and was not able to use my phone or work from the home. There was 1 wash cloth and the home was poorly stocked with the BARE minimum in the kitchen and bathrooms. I have never had such a terrible experience with a VRBO or host. I typically don’t leave reviews, but felt inclined as I hope that everyone who sees this property is warned."
