"The cottage we stayed in was adorable with our own little porch. John was so welcoming. The food for breakfast looked amazing even though we didn’t have the chance to eat. They offer thoughtful touches like a s’mores set up for you if you want to sit by the fire pit and fresh cookies to take during the day. "Having been born and raised in this area, I wasn't familiar with this location when trying to find a place close to family when coming back to visit. The address said Fort Plain, however it's in town of Danube, outside of St. Johnsville, not even remotely close to FP. Mind the location, as that wasn't a big deal to travel back and forth. "Pros: Valerie is a kind host, and the property is in one of the most beautiful areas I have ever stayed. Cons: There is one shared bathroom on the first floor. There is no bathroom in the room, or the one next door which I saw when I found out that the dividing door was not locked.
