"Lovely 100-year old house repurposed as guest house. Modern additions such as air con and shower room added around original building with wooden sliding doors and futon beds. Lovely, helpful owners met us and showed us everything - thank you!"

"It was very special experience to stay at Japanese traditonal house with my family. It was a little bit far from the main sightseeing site but we were ok because we had a car. Kinkakuji was especially awesome."

"Really enjoyed my stay here. It’s quiet but also a very private space that doesn’t give a hotel feel. It’s clean, and has everything you need. "

"We were quite skeptical as there was only one review found prior to our stay. Totally out of my expectation, the accommodation is superb! The location is just less than 5 minutes easy walk from JR Nijo Station, the big supermarket, drug stores and 24-hour convenience store are within 2 minutes of walking. The room is very new and clean, the bathtub, toilet and laundry area are all separated, clean and modern layout. The door lock system is easy and secured also.

"2eme séjour dans cet hotel, toujours aussi bien.
Idéalement placé entre les commerces/restaurants et Gion, près des transports.
Propre, moderne. La suite japonaise est spacieuse et agréable avec son espace tatami, idéal pour les familles."
"We had an amazing stay. Breakfast was really good would be nice to have different variaties of options on a daily not the same food everyday. But overall was great. Would definitely come back. "
"Absolutely loved this place in Kyoto! Easy train ride to local tourist shopping sites and all the amenities was perfect! The breakfast was also so yummy!! 10/10 experience and definitely want to stay here again when I come back to Kyoto, Japan. "
"Where the hotel located, it was very convenient and easy accessible to public transports. There were lot of convenient stores nearby ,so no worries if you needed something to drink or eat in the middle of the night. The downside for me was that, there were no breakfast provided. "
"Legendary. Hotel exceeded expectations in every way. Incredible level of detail in the building and interior design, conceptually well thought out with its connections to the city. Comfortable rooms and all the amenities we could want- our highlights were the onsite Stumptown and three restaurants with food options for our picky kids. The Kosa restaurant is especially gorgeous, day and night.
English speaking staff were on top of everything, efficient and professional. Easy direct access from the subway station and convenient centralized launchpad to the tourist spots. Cool wood keycards, a glamping vibe, and they have bikes to use!"
"Literally the best hotel that I have ever stayed at in my whole life! Use of pyjamas and great shower. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family. "
"Love this hotel! Second time i stayed at this hotel and had good service. This time was a bit different. They could not find my reservation for the luggage to be shipped and then when we checked in, they didn’t give us the breakfast tickets which was included when I made the reservation. Otherwise, great hotel and fabulous location "
"Beautiful property in great location. Recommend the MAIKOYA tea ceremony near by. Close to food and shopping and wonderful staff. Our room was clean, cool and comfortable."
