Cottage ideally located for exploring the Lake District, and only 5 miles up the road from Kendal, where you can find everything you need to be self sufficient. The cottage is well equipped, and clean and tidy. The owner Rosyln Flackett and her husband, made us feel really welcome when we arrived. The location is not far from the A6, but is still quiet enough to feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. A river runs past the property, and the gardens are very pretty and well maintained. Everything is provided for you. There is little or no Mobile signal here, so its great that they offer free WiFi in the properties to enable you to stay in touch with the outside world. If there was one complaint, it would be that the WiFi signal appeared to drop on a regular basis, and eventually found that if you turned wifi off and then on again, it sometimes rectified the problem. Having said that, this place was perfect for our honeymoon retreat. I liked the location as we were away from the crowds, and only a 20/30 minute drive from Windermere and the entrance to the Lakes. Would highly recommend this location, as it was a home from home, spacious clean and tidy. If and when we return to the lakes, we would definitely stay here again. ##### Graham P. Phenomenal grounds, amazingly scenic and a lovely cottage with very welcoming owners. Me and my partner honestly could not fault it. It was perfect from start to finish.
