“Apartment was spotless, for a central location it was incredibly peaceful. The overall appearance is beginning to look a little shabby, and all needs a little TLC. Toilet flush broken...main bed very wobbly.”

“Annexe to owner's house. We made the best of our stay, travelled around the lakes & enjoyed the hot tub. Property is clean and tidy. However, it seems to have been neglected of late, there are some easy changes which would have made a huge difference to the quality & comfort of our stay: Key code sent just a few hrs before check in at 4pm (we were already travelling & concerned we wouldn't be able to get in on arrival; a number of light bulbs need replacing (eg only ONE of the 4 cooker hood……

“We absolutely loved our stay at this gorgeous cottage. Everything one could need in the cottage and in such a beautiful location. Walks from the front door! A short drive into Windermere and the rest of the Lake District too. We really enjoyed our time here and would stay here again. “A very comfortable and well equipped cottage. Everything that is required is there, the bed was comfortable and the shower was excellent. My only (minor) complaint was that the quality of the towels supplied wasn’t great. Otherwise and excellent holiday home.”

“This is an excellent house in superb state of repair with very good quality furniture. It is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The booking process was simple and Martin Wardle of the agents was extremely helpful. The house is situated in a village which is very near Kendal, the lakes and just over one hour to the Solway coast. There are some very good dining places in the area with our favourite being The Watermill Inn which has its own micro brewery producing very tasty beers. All in all……
