Our crew of 10 had an incredible New Year’s Week stay at Hale Hali'a from 12/31/25-1/7/26. The property itself is breathtakingly beautiful and you cannot beat the location. Although the photos are incredibly gorgeous, they don’t do it justice! The screened-in porch was a crowd favorite for morning coffee, and the views out of every window of home were unreal. The beds were super comfortable and accommodated everyone perfectly. The home also had a couple of air mattresses that we were able to use in the living room, so there was plenty of room for all. The kitchen was well-equipped and all of the appliances were functional and having two refrigerators was a total game changer! The bathrooms were well appointed and we had zero issues arise during our entire stay. The sparkling pool and hot tub were a hit and although it rained for a good portion of our trip, our kids still utilized them both daily. The benefit of walking across the street to the beach was something none of us took for granted. Not having to pack lunches or walk to the public restrooms was such a treat. And when the rain kept our beach days short, it never really felt like we had to leave. We just walked the 30 feet and enjoyed the sights and sounds from the home. We will all miss the sounds of crashing waves and roosters crowing more than we realize!Home owners Ian and Irene were a pleasure to work with and communication was quick and clear. We had a very hard time saying goodbye to this place this morning!

My family had an amazing vacation at Hale Halia. The location is absolutely perfect. Being able to walk across the street to enjoy the waves at Brennecke's Beach or take a short walk to Poipu Beach for snorkeling was outstanding. The home is well stocked and very comfortable. We used the BBQ to grill fish from the Koloa Fish Market and made breakfast each morning while watching the waves from the elevated view. One morning we were able to see a pod of dolphins swim by! The lanai was a favorite spot to drink coffee each morning and watch the sunset in the evening. Having a pool and hot tub onsite was an absolute treat for a private opportunity to relax. The host was very responsive and made sure we had everything needed in advance of our stay. The location could not be better, and I cannot wait to come back.

Location is right! Across the street from Breneckies beach and a short walk to Poipu Reef surf break. The kitchen was extremely well stocked. Ian was very responsive to one minor thing I brought to his attention.

The host was always available to answer any questions. He provided great information and wanted us to enjoy the home and our vacation. The location was spectacular, especially for the sunsets. We could walk to restaurants, resorts and the beach was right across the road. The house was clean and well equipped for cooking, swimming, enjoying the hot tub and going to the beach. Fantastic vacation for our family.

The Hale Halia house was so much more than we expected! Incredible location to 2 beaches - a fun wave beach across the street and a super kid-friendly beach that was easy for our 1.5 yr old to walk to. Beautiful views and sounds all day and night!The house was stocked with everything you could possibly need, especially for kids. We had 4 kids under 4 and never ran out of plastic dishware for them or any ceramic dishware for us. They also had plenty of Tupperware options.We stayed for a month and this house was absolutely perfect and felt like home. The pool and hot tub were so wonderful to have on site, especially when the toddlers were napping. You can hear the ocean waves! The owner, Ian, was very responsive if we had any questions or needed anything, and ensured any issues were resolved right away. He was extremely hospitable and I would definitely stay here again the next time we visit Kauai. I really recommend booking this house for your Kauai vacation - you will not be disappointed! If I could rate this more than 5 stars, I would. Thank you for such amazing memories at the perfect house!

Spent one week at this lovely beachfront property. All 9 of us, that included 6 adults and 3 small kids had an excellent time. The proximity to the beach was unbeatable. Brennecke's was 100 feet across the street and Poipu was a quick 5 minute walk. It was hot the week we were there and needed to run the AC as much as possible. Each of the 4 bedrooms had its own AC as did the living room. The one in the living room was by far the best with each of those in the bedrooms being adequate at best. Probably the best room in the house was what we called the Ocean Room. This was the screened in room at the front of the house that overlooked Brennecke Beach. Although very pricey for our one week family stay, I can say with certainty that everyone had a wonderful time in Kauai and that Ian's house was a huge part of enjoyment.

Location is everything. You are a minute walk to the beach, sea turtles, coral reefs, and excellent restaurants. The property has a water station to get sand off which is super nice, and chairs and umbrellas provided. The pool and hot tub are perfect. The rooms are all nice, and the views are to die for. Would definitely stay here again.

What a gem! Ian’s place is in the perfect location just across from Brennecke’s Beach. Unobstructed ocean views from the main living area. Less than 30 seconds to plant your feet in the sand and jump in the ocean. Kids loved the body surfing and boogey boarding. Custom mosaic tile pool was the perfect way to cool off after a day at the beach. Well stocked chefs kitchen allowed us to make several memorable meals together and when we didn’t want to cook it was just a short walk or drive to some fantastic restaurants. We also went on several scenic walks from the property which were fantastic.

Heaven on Kauai

Our two weeks at Hale Halia were perfect. The house is lovely - well cared for and ideally located. Proximity to two beautiful beaches, a great pool, stunning ocean views - Hale Halia has it all. This was our second stay at this beautiful home and we hope there will be more!

Breathtaking location, comfortable home

Our family could sit for hours on end in the screened porch overlooking Brennecke’s Beach. The views are spectacular. Not to mention the bodysurfing and snorkeling within steps from the house. We traveled with our 3 year old who loved the layout of the house, hiding throughout fighting monsters while also spending ample time in the pool, hot tub, and ocean. Fantastic communication, turnkey rental. Will return.

Amazing home! Perfect for ages 2 to 78. Comfortable beds and linens. Kitchen has all the essentials. Best part of the home was the lanai with views of the beach and beautiful sunrise and sunset and rainbows. Location was perfect, close to Kiki beach and playground for little ones. The surf in front of the house was great for older kids. Host was very easy to work with. Highly recommend this home.

3 Generation Vacation

What a special property for our family vacation of 7 which included my husband and myself, my grown daughters and son in law and our 2 grandkids ages 2 & 4. It was the perfect location to take the kids right across to the beach and park. We also loved the swim time in the pool. The property had everything we needed. The views were spectacular from the front screened room.

Great House in a Terrific Location

The large living/dining/kitchen/front porch, plus the pool and hot tub, worked fantastically for our family. The location with Poipu park just across the street, and the walkability of the neighborhood were wonderful.(Their were some interior maintenance issues that need addressing that didn't actually impact our stay, but would be a good idea to repair.)

Five stars because that's as high as allowed

The house is perfect: well-equipped for home and beach. The view is fabulous; how great to be "at home" and able to see the ocean and the people enjoying it.Ian is the perfect host: always available to answer questions. The pool and hot tub were great. So was the outdoor grill; indoors, the kitchen had all we needed and more. Our grandchildren, ages 8 and 10 made good use of the provided boogie board, becoming expert users. And they loved seeing the turtles, dolphins, and whales that were regular visitors. We, the old ones, enjoyed the supplied beach umbrellas and chairs. No boogie for us. The best way to summarize is to say we'd love to be able to use it again. It was perfect.

This house felt like home. The location is perfect. Each morning we swam in the ocean right a Rosa the street from us. The beds were comfortable, house was clean, tons of windows which gave amazing natural light and wind. We plan to return to this home the next time we visit. 10 out of 10 on every level.

Great vacation spot

This is our 6th stay. Across from several beaches, the house offers spectacular sunrise and sunset watching. We often see whales breech and dolphins play. The house accommodates me and adult children/spouses. Kitchen is terrific—two refrigerators, two sinks, and well equipped.

Great house and location!

Wonderful place for a group to spend time on Kauai. Lots of kitchen amenities and beach towels. Loved all the windows and the layout of the house. Pool and hot tub were very nice too. Best part is easy walk to beach!
