Lake of the Ozarks is awesome. We switched our family weekend getaway last minute because of a snow storm that was happening in Mount Rushmore so we decided to head to Lake of the Ozarks instead. Didn’t really have any expectations - just knew it was way warmer than where we were going to go and it was pretty. Had a blast with my husband and son! Definitely would recommend the Bridal Caves and Ha Ha Tonka State Park. Great history and fabulous views.
The lake is a great destination for both a couples getaway and family.

Don't go unless you have a boat or like to shop.
If it's a holiday weekend, just park your car in one spot on the Bagnell Dam Strip, then walk along. You'll find restaurants, shops, activities. Don't forget to go to Grandpa's Ice Cream.They have 47 flavors!!!
