“The place was wonderful. No traditional “check in” process as much as someone meeting us at the front door. She was nice and helpful and got us to our room. Room was fantastic, rooftop pool was fairly dirty but it is the off season. The view from the top was wonderful and it has a comfy, covered hangout space. Everything in the room worked great and was comfortable. The room facing the street was pretty loud late into a Saturday night, but the room on the other side was quiet.”

“Buena vista is about 30 minutes from bacalar town so not an ideal location. The house is remote and in the jungle , very rough terrain getting in there Read all the small print , the house is only enclosed from the elements in the 2 bedrooms , the rest ( which is essentially just a tiny outdoor kitchen , no living room at all ) is totally open to the elements and the MOSQUITOES!!! We arrived to check in and were eaten alive in 5 minutes. There were also many wasps , a few in the bedroom. We left……
