Down a little cul de sac lane, where you rarely see, hear or smell noisy bikes and scooters, behind a big door, you'll find Said, Hamza and the rest of the team with welcoming smiles and helpful advice. Honestly, we couldn't have felt more at home and it was hard to leave. We were celebrating a special occasion and stayed in the biggest suite, Dar Sultan which which is very spacious, bright and even has a balcony with a sofa overlooking the pool. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the room was very peaceful, with lots of different lights to create a warm atmosphere. The bathroom was big and shower was hot. The roof gardens are really well laid out with loads of seating undercover or under the sky, and there's an upper area that has 360 degree views to the mountains and the city, perfect for watching the sunrise and sunset. There's a lovely young lady who keeps the whole area looking spotless with a smile, and in the morning, the two ladies making breakfast are always happy and laughing. You get a real feeling that the whole team are happy, which certainly made us happy too! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, giving us tips and recommendations for our stay. The location is wonderful and peaceful, yet we were just minutes away from the hustle and bustle. The distance from the main transport was far, we had concerns about safety but it turned out to be quite safe. Lovely authentic rooms and a fabulous roof terrace where breakfast was served. And what a breakfast! Huge variety and a lovely touch was that little things varied from day to day. My wife’s gluten free options were very well catered for too. The small pool on ground floor was a lovely way to cool down after a day in the souks and the decor and lighting was magical. Staff were lovely and super helpful and there was a really nice vibe between the staff with lots of smiles and laughter. Which was lovely to see. It definitely has the family vibe that reflects the running of this Riad. The area it is in at first glance looks sketchy it’s not. The level of service and just the niceness of the Riads staff is amazing.
