The Bard's Inn is one of our favorite places to stay in Ashland. We love the themed-named areas of the hotel and the pool is fantastic. Breakfast was great, too!
fantastic location - easy walk to Oregon Shakespeare festival theaters as well as multiple wonderful restaurants.
Rooms set up more like a motel and had to ask for clean towels and trash removal that had been promised daily
Clean rooms, liked the convenience of the ice machine and water in the lobby.
Breakfast was great and opened in time. Location great for downtown walking
Comfy beds and a great property, all around. We enjoyed the continental breakfast and the pool. The location was perfect for roaming easily into town.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The room was clean, but had only one bar of soap at the sink, and none in the bathroom. There were very few towels, and one was very worn with stings hanging at the ends. When I asked for a new towel, the staff was real nice. The woman who checked me in was lovely. Breakfast was okay. Parking was tight but goid enough. I would stay there again but bring my own soap.
Clean room and good breakfast options.
King bed was small king, very lumpy and the comforter shifted down to the bottom of the cover and therefore slid off the foot of the bed. The room was so small we could barely walk around.
The best thing about the property was at location to downtown Ashland, Lithia, Park and Theatre and restaurants. I grew up in Ashland, so I was very familiar with hotel and I know it’s been at this location for several decades. The room was clean and updated. The one thing that was a little bit weird in the room was the bed quilt, which was a nylon fabric that was so slippery, It just slid off of the bed during the night and was hard to navigate.
The carpet in my room was filthy; total black feet bottoms after walking in the room for 20 minutes. I reported it, and it only got slightly better. But my major complaint was the mattresses and the Tyvek feeling sheets. It's an older property and really needs a refresh. But worst beds and bedding I have ever experienced. This place is about location, location, location -- it was perfect for where I needed to be. But now I've been there I see other properties nearby that I will try next time unless I somehow become aware of improvements in the actual bedding and carpeting.
Tired, dark rooms. Sink did not drain well but they fixed it when we notified staff c Parking is excellent and the location is great. Could walk everywhere in town and didn’t use car. We have stayed here many times for the convenience. Ok breakfast.
I made a mistake and did not reserve the type of room we usually get and the staff upgraded me for free. We frequently stay at Bards for the convenience of walking around down town and around Lithia Park. Great location!
