We often stay at Fiesta Americana when we visit Merida to attend the symphony, Venados football matches, the White Night, etc. It is an elegant hotel with a beautiful atrium as well as a nice gym and resort style pool and jacuzzi area. The rooms are beautiful and spacious and the mattresses and bedding are heavenly. We stay in the Fiesta Club rooms and truly enjoy the added breakfast buffet and evening tapas. Highly recommend this hotel!

Hotel was pristine. Staff were amazing. Room was impeccable. The AC I. The room, however, was not great. We adjusted the thermostat but the room didn’t really cool down much. It appeared to be pre-set in spite of what the room thermostat said. It was a HOT week in Merida for sure, and perhaps the grid doesn’t allow much. I don’t know. But for sure we wanted a 5-star AC unit to be able to sleep and recharge.

The room was very nice. The beds are very comfortable. They were clean. They were able to accommodate us to have connecting rooms last minute. I would say the only negative thing is you hearing belligerent people yelling at 11:30 at night. That only happened our last night there. Other than that, the stay was very pleasant.

It is a beautiful building. Our room had a French balcony. Looks like the hotel is very old so rooms are dated and corridors very stark with no art. Rooms were clean and comfortable, staff were friendly. We had a club room so had access to the lounge. Food was plenty but not particularly good. Lots of desserts. There was a coffee maker in the room but we were charged for the coffee capsules we used. This was a surprise for a five star hotel.

My wife and I have stayed at this Fiesta Americana several times over the years as this hotel is our first choice when staying in Merida. Beyond the beautiful interior design of the building, the hotel staff is what makes our stays so much more pleasurable. Everyone smiles and extends a warm welcome. We stay in a Club level room as we enjoy the evening tapas and morning breakfast, which offer a wide variety of great foods from main dishes to desserts every day. The rooms are very clean and stately and the bed is by far the best bed in any hotel we have stayed. Even softer and more comfortable than ours at home. We have had the pleasure of having Roger help us during our stays, usually in the morning for breakfast service. He always greets us with a big smile and works above and beyond to be sure we, and everyone, has everything they need during breakfast. Roger is a tremendous asset to the Fiesta Americana team! We look forward to our upcoming stay at the end of March.

I am writing to express my disappointment with the service my party and I received during our recent visit to your restaurant in the lobby. From the time we were seated, the service was consistently slow and fell well below the standard we expected. Throughout our meal, we repeatedly had to wave down servers just to receive basic assistance, whether it was placing our order, requesting refills, or asking for items that should have been provided without repeated reminders. Unfortunately, the lack of attentiveness continued throughout our dining experience. After our concerns went unaddressed, we felt we had no choice but to ask to speak with the captain to express our frustration. While we hoped this would improve the situation, the overall experience remained disappointing. I would also like to recognize the outstanding service we received from the Club Level staff on the fifth floor. Their professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality were exactly what we expected and greatly appreciated. They consistently went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met, making us feel welcomed and valued throughout our stay. Their exceptional service stood in stark contrast to the experience we had in the lobby restaurant. A hotel's reputation is built on providing consistently excellent service across all areas of the property. While the Club Level team exemplified that standard, the service we experienced in the lobby restaurant did not.

The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. The restaurant on site offered delicious breakfast and dinner entrees. We had two rooms, and one problem common to both was the climate control/air conditioning system was difficult to control. One room was a bit too warm, and the other too cold, but the thermostats in both rooms did not seem to function properly, so we could not change the temperature settings. In all fairness, we did not alert the hotel staff to this situation, so they did not have the opportunity to solve the problem.
