"I loved the vioews of the mountains. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.my only complaint is they dont offer a eaay to ready hiking map.they only offer a driving map and a smaller map of 3-4 smaller trails.but they offer a free bus service to and from several popular attractions close by! "
"Again... our second stay was just as great as the first one. The neighborhood is peaceful and the home is well appointed. The one a/c is sufficient as long as all interior doors are open. The extra bonus is that the bungalow is within walking distance to Main Street. "
"The most caring place I have ever stayed. They called us to check on our arrival and to let us know where to stop for dinner and breakfast the following morning. They went through the rooms and details, made sure that we didn’t have a pet this trip and gave us snacks. It was like staying with a caring family member! Simple, low key, affordable and caring!"
"Unique house in a unique setting. Located close to lots of desert activities, or just chill (HA HA) and enjoy the view of the spectacular Sierra on the deck. Spacious house, spacious decks, great views, all the amenities - what more do you need?"
"This was a very surprisingly wonderful visit, only one night but it was reasonably priced, very clean, updated outlets, pool area nice and clean and bed was comfortable. Thank you."
"We enjoyed our stay very much. The tiny home was perfect for our trip, very comfortable and centrally located. I would recommend staying at Swatha’s place to anyone staying in the area. "
"Beautiful property, with incredibly unique decor. Loved even that the outdoors were decorated in art pieces of giraffes, lions etc. Loved our time in this property!"
"Comfortable and clean! Friendly staff. Gave us a space to store our extra stuff so we wouldn’t attract bears in the Whitney Portal parking lot while we were backpacking and summiting Whitney. Great, comfy bed before heading up the trail!"
"We really enjoyed our stay at the Rock Cabin! Falling asleep to the sound of water and crickets was really wonderful. The restaurant was amazing! We especially loved having pie each morning with our coffee. Speaking of coffee, we loved walking into the cabin and seeing complementary local coffee, waiting for us. I also want to leave a little note that the road up to the cabin was pretty intense and a little scary at parts…But if you take your time, it’ll be worth the drive! "
"Stayed over a holiday weekend and this place was almost half the cost of the hotels. As others reviewed this place is very clean and has everything you’d need including a full size washer and dryer. There is a futon in the living room with a TV. The fridge is smaller than pictured and they put storage for pans below. There are portable induction stove tops (loved those). No microwave, but there is a toaster oven. Others have mentioned no hot tub, which is true. Think they meant bath tub, not hot tub. It’s a bath tub/shower combination. The weather was really hot during our stay and the air conditioning worked great. It is an old quirky house, but well maintained. A five star stay for Mainstreet Lone Pine and small dog friendly on top of that! We have stayed at various Lone Pine hotels for day hiking and would definitely prefer to stay here instead. "
"West Wind certainly DID take our breath away!! Our 4-night stay there went way too fast and "tasted like more!" The views outside from every direction were spectacular and there was so much to see in the area. The inside layout was stunning and spacious! Lone Pine is an "unreal real." Sipping coffee while watching "horse zoomies" across the road was a highlight! Joost, the host, was so friendly and accommodating. We'd go back in a heartbeat!! This place has such amazing rock features, including a rock tub outside, which we enjoyed while watching the sunsets. West Wind and Joost ROCK!! Thank you for sharing your dream with us!!"

"A wonderful property that offers amazing views of the eastern sierras. Easy to access, walking distance to downtown Lone Pine, great place to relax and unwind with friends/ family after a long adventurous day(s). I’ve stayed here twice and will definitely return again when I plan to stay in the Lone Pine area. Thank you Jenifer for making this an easy choice every time!"
"I did not know that this place has so much history related to Western movies filmed nearby. Many famous celebrities stayed here - be sure to browse the photos in the lobby area."
"Perfect location for Death Valley and the Alabama Hills. Many other things to do and see, both outdoor and inside museums. What a joy to stay in the house and relax, cooking our evening meals and breakfasts. Don't miss this opportunity if you are in the area. "
