"Great find, seems newly renovated with nice new everything, and a great new pool area. I also liked there was a real window in my room for some fresh air in the evenings… Friendly staff and a good location near local markets and restaurants. Gem of a local breakfast (Carmelitas) and dinner (Papa Loca) within a 5 minute walk, or just eat in the hotel . Also an easy 15 minute walk to the beach. "Was so happy with our choice of staying at villa mexicana! The property was well looked after, rooms were clean, staff extremely friendly and helpful. Being right on the beach was amazing, listening to the waves crashing on the pristine beach at night was the best way to fall asleep. Many of the guests we met are repeat visitors - which speaks highly for villa mexicana - location is perfect - many choices for eating within walking distance and hotel had great food. Beach was fabulous and ocean waves were okay to play in. Will be back for sure!"
