We have stayed here multiple times over the years. We accepted the property for what it is - barely mediocre. What won us over was its location on the beach and proximity to off-site restaurants. Our last stay however broke the camel's back.
The AC stopped working after a couple of nights. Repair guy came and said he fixed it. The next day, the room was hot again. Same guy came back and said it was as good as it gets. We were offered to move to another room. The AC there worked and we enjoyed it for a night. Until it went out the next day!!! Every day after that it was "fixed" and stopped working every single night. Unacceptable!
We barely ate on site but checked out the buffet just in case something appealed to us. One night, a little boy was helping himself at the dessert station. Every time he used the tongs to grab a piece of cake, he licked it!!
Running out of characters...wifi in the room was awful. Had to be close to the balcony to get some reception. According to the staff, wifi in room is not guaranteed. OK. Had been to many countries, islands with much less infrastructure and never encountered this issue.
Lastly, had to remove the "don't disturb" sign for the repairman to get in. Came back and all the towels from our bathroom were removed. No housekeeping done. Not that I asked for it. Called for towels and body wash. Cleaning lady came promptly and replenished the wash. Great. Then she poured the same stuff into shampoo/conditioner dispenser!
