Museum of the Bayeux Tapestry Tours

The displays were fabulous and the audio guide really kept my kids engaged. That being said, the staff in the gift shop was extremely rude and one girl actually pulled an item out of my son's hand to place back on the shelf. We all left the museum on a bad note. I was disappointed that that one experience will define the museum experience for my children.

Interesting museum with a self-guided audio tour.

How this works is you were handed a auto guide in your appropriate language and the tapestries are behind glass and you walk along in time to the audio guide so there are roughly 57 panels and they’re all numbered to coincide with the audio guide so you never really have to worry about seeing it you’re not crowded by anybody else and you move one just like everybody else at the same pace it works out terrifically and the tapestries are so interesting with the audio guide to explain what is happening in them Truly do not miss this

The Bayeux Tapestry has an audio tour that goes along with admission and explains all about the Tapestry. We bought a combo ticket to visit the Normandy WW II museum in Bayeux the following day and both my 16yr old & myself thought the time was well spent.

A must see!!!!  Truly magnificent!
