U-Drop Inn Tours

I was really excited about this hotel. The website makes the place look really upscale and chic but when we got there it was a little disappointing. Here are the positives: The staff were very kind and helpful, that was not a problem. It did have great amenities, especially if you have children like a slide, game room, bar and restaurant all inside but none of that really mattered to us as a young couple. The artwork and decoration was very cool. The breakfast was also very nice! The negatives: The pool water was HOT and had a sign that said something along the lines of “Do not swim if you have had diarrhea in the past 2 weeks” which scared me to use it because obviously they needed to put that sign up after an incident. Yikes. The ceiling in our bathroom was chipping and pieces were all over the floor. The carpet was wet with humidity and cold from the AC. The roof in the hallway was partly spray painted in some parts and not in others. The hotel looked unfinished with a whole wing of it looking abandoned/under construction. I feel bad writing this because I’m usually a positive and glass half full person. If I came with kids, I think it would have been great and I could maybe ignore some of the other things. Very family friendly, I will say that!

Convenient location. Good value

It was a fun place to stay with wonderful outdoor spaces next to the tiny log house. But we had to use our sound machine app on our phones, the truck traffic was loud. But thoroughly enjoyed the Cowboy Kitsch.
