This is a lovely rustic inn and pub in a historical location. Located on the outskirts of Nottingham and an easy on off of the highway prior to our flight home. We stayed 2 nights after exploring northern England. The beds are clean and comfortable, the food is delicious and the drinks are cold. Lots of local conversation with friendly people

Lovely old pub, with lots of history. Helpful welcoming staff on arrival and at breakfast. The parking was signposted but a little trickier to find than I expected, but plentiful when you get to it. Breakfast good quality. The room would benefit from a bit of redecoration as others have said but it didn't detract from a pleasant stay in an inn I would recommend to others. I stayed here for a conference in Nottingham and it was practical for that reason and easy to access from the motorway. If I was coming to the area again I almost certainly would stay here again.

The breakfast was really good as was the lady that served us. The room was nice and big although in need of decorating with ripped off wallpaper and holes in the bathroom, plus the TV didn't work, which I presume the guy behind the bar knew as he didn't seem interested when we told him. All in all a good stay, worth what we paid.

Good rural pub, within easy reach of Nottingham. evening meal quality and value for money excellent and despite us not arriving until after 7pm dealt with efficiently and in plenty of time to be fed, bar staff very friendly and helpful, included breakfast good choice (only black pudding missing from full English) and freshly cooked to order, Will definitely be booking again for our next event at the Motorpoint Arena.

Appreciate that it's an old building, but it needs some TLC. Extremely hot water in the bathroom and tricky to turn taps fully off. Poor sleep due to the window rattling. Well cooked full English breakfast and ample parking.

Very tricky to find the parking, too bad they do write the direction in the automated welcome email. It was extremely hot, it was so hot that the kitchen closed at 6pm, no AC anywhere in the premises and not even a fan ion the room. The bathroom window could not be open to create cross breeze. This hotel is definably not for the summer staying.

Stayed in Room 10, booked a room with two single beds, got one double. Shower in bath was terrible, water was trickling out, shower curtain was just balanced and kept falling off. TV was from the 2000s remote, hardly worked, very basic. Room itself was ok, good enough for what we wanted being a father and Son going to Download but I wouldn’t take my wife
