I don't even know how they spotted this owl. It was on the far side of the river, way up at the top of a tall tree, in dark shadow. Digital photography is truly a wonderful thing.

Walking distance to the Museo Nacional, Avenida Central, and Avenida 33 made exploring the city easy, and I felt safe walking alone at night thanks to visible police presence in the area. "This garden condo is a beautifully sunlit space. The surrounding gardens are magical with brilliant colors and many different varieties of visitors including birds, bees, butterflies etc. So many astoundingly beautiful sites and stunning sunsets. The nearby pueblo of Santo Domingo is not only quaint but easily accessible by walking or cab. It is a nice way to get to know the neighborhood and enjoy the "living life" away from home.
