We really felt we were getting a more intimate Japanese experience. The food really put us Americans out of our comfort zone, but we wouldn't have wanted it any other way. "The hotel and room where nice and spacious, but we got a room with shared toilet which was not clear before booking. They made up for it offering a compensation, but still USD 200 for a shared toilet room sounds excessive"

"Staff were excellent, polite, attentive, prompt in response. Room was large, quite dated though and could use updating, especially the bathroom. Waste basket in bathroom was toy sized. Onsen baths were great, nice and ample facilities. Meals were excellent; attended by great staffs."

"There are not enough good things I can say about my stay here. Although my stay was short, I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. The room I had was beautiful with a view of the garden and nature surrounding the minoh falls trail. The baths were clean and had supplies for a relaxing time provided. Yuki (one of the staff) was extremely accommodating and thoughtful, she made the stay really. I would highly recommend this to anyone. "
