“El servicio es extraordinario, una super experiencia en un Riokan tradicional. Los baños ya están muy anticuados, pero perfectamente limpios. Vale la pena el cuarto más caro por el acceso al baño (además de a las aguas termales). Muy recomendable!”

We really felt we were getting a more intimate Japanese experience. The food really put us Americans out of our comfort zone, but we wouldn't have wanted it any other way. “We love the Arima Onsen Hanano Ryokan. They picked us up at the train station and even carried our bags up to store our luggage. Yes, getting to the inn meant climbing up some stairs. This might be a problem for some people with mobility issues. But the climb was all worth it because the service was impeccable, the hotel was exceptionally clean and the room was spacious. For such a minimalistic inn, it has everything we needed and more. This inn is traditionally Japanese with modern facilities. ...

“I booked this ryokan as it was the most price friendly. The owners were super friendly and helpful, even though we had to talk through google translate as my japanese wasnt good enough. As others mentioned the stairs down to the hot springs (ast least for the female side) felt a bit dungeon-y. But the hot springs were amazing. The room was a bit older and you could tell there was some normal wear and tear from over the years but if i would definitely recommend it.”
