Many restaurants in the area. Great host. Really really friendly owner and excellent English speaker. Safe area to walk at midnight. We stay one night and was great. Zimmer ist sauber, Bett gemütlich. Leider nur ein kleiner Mistkübel. Der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, auch die Dame beim Frühstück. Breakfast included but if you want something more substantial there is a lovely bakery opposite which opens earlier than breakfast starts. We stayed in 3 other places across Sicily and most breakfasts started at 7 or 7.30, we went for a trip one day so got breakfast at the cafe opposite the hotel as breakfast wasnt open, and were then told we hadnt turned up for breakfast, so it seems like you need to tell them if you arent going to make breakfast? It wasnt clear on instructuons that you needed to send notice in advance saying what time you arrive, check in was from 12, we arrived just after 12 when 4 other people arrived but our room wasnt cleaned. We got to our room just after 1, and did not complain, we patiently waited in the kitchen but were told a few times we should have said when we were arriving and the room would have been prepared and prioritised (dont see how when there was 6 people all there at same tine and theirs were ready) The wifi did not work at all in the 3 days we stayed, another person raised the issue on the first day when we arrived and was told it was a problem with the provider and the hotel couldnt do anything, but it didnt work the next few days either. There was a safe in room but you cant change the code? He gave us a warm welcome and lots of good advice re our short visit to Palermo. The hotel is in a great location, was good value and served a very nice breakfast. We stayed in a large, clean and well maintained room. The breakfast was good, with great coffee. The owner, Marco, and staff were very friendly and super helpful.
