Great vacation

This little neighborhood of cottages is adorable and just a short walk to the beach. It’s in a perfect spot right in between the cute beach villages.

Memorial Day fun

Great location near Alyss Beach. Great beach access. Community pool was nice. Publix nearby on 98. Family enjoyed the bikes but would have preferred a golf cart. Bedrooms and bathrooms were nice. Back porch on lower level could have been swept to remove fossilized frogs. In kitchen, trash was left behind trash container. Only 1 kitchen towel and no mitts to remove hot trays from oven. No salt/pepper. Area is a bit rustic. Kind of in the woods. Overall, we enjoyed the property.

Lovely home

The decor was lovely. Very comfortable. There is no pantry area though if you are planning on cooking. Be sure to bring sal & pepper because they don’t have it! It is close to the pool but beach is far with no shuttle. I appreciate the cleanliness of the home. I appreciate the wagons in the storage to help take the kids to beach!

Nice home!

The process for check in and staying was super easy and the place was plenty big and very clean. Only feedback would be that “private beach access” was misleading. You arrive on someone else’s private beach and unless you want to spend a couple hundred dollars on their beach chairs then you have to walk quite a bit farther to get to the public beach access. This should have been more clear in the property info and description. Overall, good experience and nice location. You can bike to several restaurants and shops which makes it nice that bikes are part of the rental.

Turns out we stayed here 4 years ago as well with a different family. Exact same unit. Has been updated nicely…only feedback is lack of cabinet space now that they took out some cabinets to open it up between kitchen and living room. Not a big deal though in the scheme of things. :)

Nice house close to the beach

The house was sufficient for this trip. It was clean and worked out great for our group. The beds were comfortable. The living room furniture needs to be cleaned. You have to walk a little way to the beach and over a main road. It was a nice area but a 20+ minute drive to Panama City, and an hour to Destin. The Donut Hole not far from the house is a must stop! Red Velvet and Blueberry's donuts were awesome.

Lovely House in a beautiful neighborhood across from the beach

House has everything and is very spacious. Room for everyone. Upstairs and downstairs AC controls. Great porch with woods all around. Feels very secluded. Close to all the restaurants and shopping. Very close to many state parks and hiking trails. We cooked chili and breakfast while we were there and the kitchen had everything we needed.

Turkey Week 2021

This home has a great location for a cool weather stay. We used every single space in the home. We had 4 adults 4 high school girls and an 11 year old. There was a spot for everyone and plenty of bathrooms. A few things I would switch up; there is NO storage for food...the hall closet could easily have shelves added for food storage (we had to store food on top of the washing machine and all over counters). Kitchen was VERY well stocked had everything we needed. Screen porch was nice...a TV out there would be fabulous our neighbors had that and we enjoyed heading to their house to use their outdoor space to watch football. One last thing closets on second floor need lights....its so dark we had to use our phones flashlight too see! These are nit picky things but all things that could and should be upgraded. We would stay here again.

Great location, nice home, great for families

I give this home 5 stars for its location and set up for families and would highly recommend renting this home. It was clean and communication with the property management company was easy and prompt. A few things to know before you arrive The kithen is well stocked with dishes and many cooking utensils, pots and pans. There are no spices or any condiments, not even salt & pepper so bring everything you need. There isn't any space to put groceries away in cabinet are all are full of dishes, etc. Also, there is private beach access but you are not allowed on the private beaches you have to stay on the public beach area -which is about 300 down the beach. This rental doesn't have any beach chairs or toys.

It was ok

Dog hair on couches someone took a dog there before us and left dog hair all over couches and outside screened in patio. Then when we first got there someone kicked the trash over left trash all over the parking spaces and 1 of the trash cans was left upside down with trash coming out of it had to clean it up to park our car what a let down and racoons tore up the insulation from under the house its all over the outside of the house really trashy needs a good clean up around the outside

Clean, Easy beach access, beautiful and spacious!

The home was stunning. It was clean and in a wonderful location. Roughly .2 short mile walk to the beach. The walk is shaded and direct to beach access. The layout was welcoming and cozy for enjoying company. The bedrooms were a good size. Loved having 4 bathrooms to align with the 4 bedrooms. GREAT place. Will stay here again. ONLY down side, they don't have access to beach chairs on the property. You have rent from a company or bring your own. I borrowed some, but that would be the only thing I wish would be offered to guest. Also, there are PLENTY of towels. I was nervous about that because we had 7 ladies staying in the home for our girls get away. But there were plenty for each lady to have two. Also, having a washer & dryer was nice bonus too. Kitchen is stocked with everything you would need to cook, drink coffee (normal pot & Kcup pot too) and a blender. Highly suggest this place to stay.

Best for Teens & Up

No problem with the house code as that was sent by text message. We had a hard time accessing the rest of the codes at first due to bad reception- go upstairs!!! A nice house in a nice dead end neighborhood but there is a lot of natural vegetation, no trails. We were about 4 blocks back, or 0.3 miles from beach. Be aware you will climb a 30 Foot MOUNTAIN of a dune at the beach!! No way to spray off feet off beach! I didn’t realize that area was like that. I felt bad for all the parents with little kids, lol. Probably would be best to book a golf cart although it is not that far. Some said there wasn’t enough cook stuff but we did not find that the case but it is TIGHT in the kitchen. They need a couple more shelves in the laundry room for pantry room. Bike ride to Rosemary Beach is about 15 minutes or 2 miles. There is another area called The Hub that is closer with lots of shops - maybe 1/2 a mile to the right. Lots of items in the shed - they will send a code for that. Wish we could have used the pool in the back of the neighborhood- it was way better than the neighborhood one but we were Beach people. The Beach water is incredible. All in all, it was a great value for the area. Do NOT leave out trash. There are critters who will get into it! Also not enough parking (only 2 spots here-might could squeeze 3 smaller cars though) but you could park a car at Publix. They really should allow extra cars to park on the side. The security would occasionally give warnings. The grill is gas, not charcoal. Also there is a public beach 500 yards to the right; the stupid condo to the right is OBNOXIOUS about their “private” beach. It’s pretty tight spacing unless you rent chairs. ($45 a day) The shed had all we needed: two umbrellas, a cart to tote it down there, plus at least 6 good type of beach chairs! Plus lighter ones. Look for the flag on the beach; but best to walk your stuff that way along road rather than trek down the beach. Noodles, and sand toys in there too as well as an umbrella for shopping. I also wanted to let people know how nightmarish the parking is for shopping.... shop at 9am ifyou can , then there is a parking space. Bring masks because some stores are strict about it. We had a nice meal 5PM at La Cocina in Seacrest between Alys and Rosemary. Make sure you realize that you are not “officially” in Seacrest in this location although that is the official name. But are nearby by about 2 miles.

Fall Break Trip

This house is exactly as described. I gave four stars on cleanliness only because the master bath has older tile. It's almost impossible to keep that 100% clean and looking like new, but the crew had done a nice job. The guests prior to our check-in failed to take the three garbage cans to the street for service, so a small animal had spread garbage along the tree line. This is no fault of the home owners or service provider, but it created a small mess while waiting for the next trash day. I also gave four stars due to this house being at the back of the Magnolia by the Sea Community. It is properly listed in the description, but the walk back from the beach got pretty tiring hauling our beach gear up the three flights of stairs to get to the walkway, then down to the house. It is definitely doable, and we made the walk daily, along with our six year old carrying her beach gear, but I believe this is our max distance we could do. It was definitely helpful to stop midway for a pool break, but this was only necessary after a long beach day. I would book this home again (with chair/umbrella service). It had everything we needed for a great week!
