Lake Fisher Park Tours

Our first time to Des Moines. This hotel is in a very convenient location to lots of things. it is also safe to walk in that neighborhood at all hours. You can park your car for the entire weekend and never have to retrieve it, there is valet or self parking. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Our bathroom sink had a leak and maintenance was there within 10 minutes to fix it. They were respectful and had the problem fixed in a just a few minutes. The gym is very nice, quiet because there are no tvs and ample exercise machines, work out mats, free weights, weight machines. There are two restaurants, one more casual that is open for breakfast lunch and dinner that serves excellent coffee to go and pastries, we had breakfast one morning and the food was excellent as well (omelet, avocado toast). We had drinks in the Proudfoot and Bird which is the fancier restaurant and their food menu looked really nice too. Again, walking distance to the Pappajohns sculpture garden, the Events and Expo center, and Principal Park where the Iows Cubs play. Will definitely stay here again

My family and I got to stay with them for an extended time waiting for our house to be finished. Awesome place, great people , couldn’t suggest it enough. Very clean, awesome staff. Pool and hot tub were great. Breakfast was well done, rooms were very clean. Best place in Ames to stay.
