"This is an eclectic property and may not be for everyone, but it was perfect for us. The upstairs rooms had a shared bathroom, but the trade off was a great outdoor space and second kitchen. The best part was our host Bonnie who made us feel right at home. It was a 4.5 for me and I loved it !! "

"My family, along with our golden retrievers enjoyed our stay at the Sunken Lake cottage. The cottage is absolutely beautiful and you can see the lake from the kitchen, living room and one of the bedrooms. It is immaculately clean and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. The Internet works great. We had a colleague who had to take a few meetings and she had no issues. There is a beautiful outdoor patio, barbecue grill, a nice fire pit stocked with wood, a paddle boat, canoe and plenty of kayaks to use. The owner and property manager promptly answered any questions we had.It was peaceful and very relaxing and we enjoyed our stay and hope to be back soon. "

"Had an enjoyable stay at Black Lake. Cottage was clean and furniture comfy.. There are quite a few stairs to get to the lake which provided beautiful sunsets. My spouse and granddaughter enjoyed the kayaks which were on site.Kitchen was well stocked and provided all we needed to prepare our meals. Two lovely decks enhanced the stay. "

"The house was wonderful, it was clean, well stocked and exactly as described. It was close to the beach and the downtown area. The backyard was really nice and private. There was lots of bedding and towels. The owner responded very quickly with any questions. loved our stay."

"We had a wonderful time at this cottage. The beds were very comfortable in the cottage and in the small cabin. There is not air in The small cabin but we slept fine with the windows open and fan on. We had an issue with the dishwasher dying but Matthew had it replaced the next day. We rented the pontoon and jet ski and had a wonderful time with both. "

Some minor issues with ceiling fans and some lighting. There are several switches that we couldn’t figure what they were for. Labeling them would be helpful. "
"We extremely enjoyed our stay here! Especially the sunroom. We are repeat visitors. The beach is right outside the door, beautiful and private. If you need things to do, the rec room is absolutely full of games and ping pong and foos ball and darts and everything you could want. There are also 3 refrigerators! This year, we actually ventured out and took the glass bottomed boat tour!"

"We are a family of five two dogs. This house was an amazing stay. Spotless, well appointed and good for a long-term stay. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. Beds comfortable, so we slept in every day. The area is rural, super quiet and relaxing. Very dark sky at night, so a great starry sky. The host, Shannon, was very understanding and flexible with our very late check-in. Good communication throughout. Helpful info on local events and places to go.In the end, nobody wanted to leave, not even the dogs. We are very likely to come back. "

"Great place to stay, beautiful views. We really enjoyed our time there. By far, the most pet friendly place I’ve ever stayed at, & I’ve stayed at a lot of different places. They had dog bowls, dog blankets & dog towels. Great pet friendly place. For people, great views/access to the lake, good amount of dishes, supplies, towels & bathroom essentials.
