"We really enjoyed our stay here. All of the staff made us feel very welcome and the food was excellent. Our room was spacious and clean and the view over the churchyard was delightful. We've booked for a return visit soon."
"The house was well equipped. Comfortable beds. Parking down the road, although the next house parked right outside our front door. Strangely had no BBC on the TV. Local pub did good food. A good base for the southern Lakes"
"Great location near motorway ,great for staying or stop over .The food was excellent both duo roast which was fantastic and the breakfast which was great for journey home ."
"Everything about our stay at the Hare and Hounds was 10/10. From the warm welcome, best welcome book and tray lovely clean bathroom and comfy bed to the excellent breakfast all was faultless. We can't wait to visit again."
"This is a lovely lodge, on a lovely park, which is clean and dog friendly. A small issue with the shower was resolved quickly and easily - I would recommend"
"From the first welcome to the final farewell, it was a joy to stay there. Substantive breakfasts, pet friendly, old manor house setting with great views. Good choice of relatively local (less than 10 miles) public houses for evening fare. Already hoping to get back there when next visiting the Lakes, which start only six miles north."

"What a wonderful place!
Directions and key instructions were spot on. The cottage was even better than expected, with great living accommodation and facilities. We were greeted with a bottle of Prosecco, pint of milk, and a few other essentials to help us settle in (very much appreciated - thank you). The staircase with its huge clock is a sight to behold; and the enormous bed reminded us of the one John Denver sang about! The bathroom was well laid out with plenty of space and a large shower; and the washing machine & drier came in handy too.
All in all, a perfect place - highly recommended :-)

"Accommodation amazing, bed a bit too soft for me but that’s a personal preference, had only room with roll top bath and walk in shower, fabulous. Had evening meal and breakfast and the food was beautiful, will deffo return 5star"
"Our first time in a pod but we loved it. We stayed with our two young children, who were sad to leave! The pod was clean, cosy, had everything you need and on a quiet but secure site. We booked very last minute but had an easy check in with great communication from hoasts. Would come again x"
