"The property was very clean and beautifully decorated; such attention to detail. The owner, Sandy, was so welcoming and sweet. Despite the rain, we had a great fall getaway to recharge and refresh. The small little towns surrounding the Merrifield/Brainard area were so fun to explore and enjoy local art and delicacies. A wonderful trip in a wonderful space!"

"We loved our stay here! Everything was so beautiful! Our favorite places to hang out were the firepit and the outdoor porch. The bedding and mattresses are so comfortable! We went hiking at a local trail, came back and made soup on the stove, played cards and had s’mores by the firepit. The fact that we could bring the dogs too was so nice! I love all the decorative touches in both cabins. Perfect getaway. Can’t wait to come back!"

"This was my second time staying here. The property offers a great escape from, well, everything. It is well located just 10 minutes from downtown Crosby full of some great spots! I really enjoy the cozy, quiet feel of the Boathouse. This was my second trip, both of which were in the colder months. It offers great views of the lake, and outstanding sunsets. Everything is comfortable and well maintained. I look forward to trying this out in warmer months."

"This place was perfect for our Mother’s Day weekend. It is appealing from the moment you pull into the driveway. The cabin is nested in its natural surroundings as if it were always there. The large windows give spectacular views from all sides. The design and décor make you feel comfortable and relaxed.
