The stay was great. The lady during check in was very nice and the fastest check in time I have ever experienced. The room I had was very spacious and clean. The hotel was very quiet and peaceful, close to nearby grocery stores Safeway and H Mart, close to the Metro Rail. When my travel plans call me back to the Phoenix area I will look to return and stay at American Executive Inn.

I've stayed at this property many times always welcomed and they have a great room for me. Close to bus lines and Mesa Riverview is a free bus ride away with less than a block walk coming back or going.

The room was ok. It had a pretty strong cigar smell even though I asked for non smoking. The bed was very comfy, but I didn’t trust the sheets so I slept until the cover only. I was there for 2 nights, there was no room service. I do have to appreciate they accepted my late check-in which was super fast. The TV was not working, there was a cable box, but it didn’t have an electrical plug and no remote was provided. The shower water was good, but the tub was very slippery, good thing I took sandals so I showered with my sandals on and that solved that problem. There was a weird event, where I found a razor outside my room on top of the AC unit, people need to be more careful since there are children around. Bottom line, if you are looking for a low budget place to crash and take a shower this is your place. Don’t expect a four reasons or even a Quality Inn.

Good bang for your buck.

Good place and good price. The pool was nice. A bit of an older standard but the people were nice and overall it was a good place to stay. Near the train so easy to get to downtown Tempe.

When we arrived (family of 3, with a 4 year old), there was food scraps on the bed, and hair on the bed and in the bathtub. This wasn't the kind of hair that comes from your head, either. There were wrappers on the floor, the headboard of the main bed was leaning over about to fall on the bed, there was white stuff on the table and chairs, and even with the door closed, the smells of several different substances being smoked was heavily prevalent. I went to the office and the employee on shift offered me new sheets but said that the manager wouldn't be in until Monday and the housecleaner wouldn't be in until the next day. There were no additional rooms to move into, so I returned my key and left with the family, heading down the street to Super 8, where for $20 more, the room was clean and comfortable.

Great stay for the price

For an inexpensive hotel, it was well worth it. I found the bed to be very clean. I inspected the sheets well and looks great. The room and bathroom was well cleaned the air conditioner ran great considering it was hot outside and the shower hot water was great also. I definitely stay here again.

Easy does it

It was really nice.easy check in,ac worked,comfortable beds and chair.the walls were painted different colors witch was really cool.didnt have time to check out the pool.but well be back so next time for sure.

Spring Training Vacation

We had a great stay. Parking lot was was easier to use then anticipated. Kitchen with full sized refrigerator was great for our 6 day stay. The two grocery stores nearby made using the kitchen convenient. Great water pressure, volume (shower), and temperature. Beds were very comfortable.

Although the exterior of the property was mostly clean and presentable, and the area around the property was completely fine, it was obvious that the room we were given was probably being used as an SRO. The bed was comfortable and the unit mostly clean but seems due for a deep cleaning as the floor had sticky spots and we were not able to walk around in bare feet. Additionally, the kitchenette area contained nothing with which to use the stove. Above all, although noted as a "non-smoking" unit, the room reeked of marijuana and had not been aired out.

It is an old place that the owners are trying to upkeep. Its freshly painted. The room has a kitchen but no pots,pans,cuttlery or dishes. I did not needed but keep in mind. No shampoo only a soap is provided. The vending machine was out of water so i had to leave to get some water. Inconvenient. The bed is comfortable and the place is clean. The location is close to the metro station so downtown is a short ride away.

Not so good..Nothing but problems. TV didn’t work EVEN after someone came and “fixed it”! Hot tub not working. Big holes in the bedspread. Not in a safe part of town.

Pretty crappy

The room was horrible. Looked like someone kicked in the door and there was a hole in the wall from the door handle. Door was bent from that incident and light was coming through. Not very clean. Floors were swept, but not moped. Microwave had a hole burned through the bottom. Was woken up 3 times by occupants being loud. Pictures tell the story.

Employee that checked us in was friendly. Got to room and wasn't as expected. Tub faucet wouldn't turn off completely so water was constantly running. No soap and not enough towels for the two guests (only had for one person).Asked office for more towels and was told they were in the process of being washed. Returned to the office after swimming to ask for two towels. They only had one available. In the room, I killed at least two cockroaches. Saw others but couldn't get to them fast enough to kill them. There was droppings and egg cases in the dresser. . Was a bit afraid to sleep there as I didn't want the roaches to get into my belongings. Had to check out early to catch a flight and had to slide key into an unsecured area to return it. Was worried someone was going to get a hold of it and potentially trash the room.
