The owner was very helpful. The room was charming, with a wonderful view. It would be difficult for mobility restricted guest to climb to a number of the rooms on the side of the building, however our room was perfect. The jacuzzi tub was a nice touch,

We booked the Victorian room! The views were amazing! The staff were all very friendly and helpful! I truly do not have a bad thing to say about our stay it was amazing. We took the hike from the property .We walked along the coastline spectacular views of the coastline.

The hotel is located on a hill, overlooking a wharf and the ocean---a magnificent view! The staff was very friendly, attentive, and accommodating---several lovely conversations. The complementary breakfast is modest and continental in style. However, there is a nice, but limited, breakfast made-to-order menu which was done very well. The dinner menu is similarly limited, but the choices are nicely cooked and served. The room featured a hot tub, as well as the usual shower, and a balcony had a great view of the wharf and ocean. Since the hotel is on a hill, the driveway is somewhat steep---some may have trouble walking down to the water, but it's a 1-minute drive to parking by the beach. Also, walking from one unit of the hotel to another may involve some ups and downs. A cafe and a couple restaurants are available down the hill. Rooms are labeled as "peaceful and romantic", and that seems a fine description. The city of Point Arena and nearby area are isolated near the coast, but that makes the hotel a great place to unwind and enjoy the scenery.

This was my first time staying at Wharfmasters Inn. It makes a nice destination along the north coast. Point Arena is a cute little town with some nice restaurants and music sometimes as well. The little cafe at wharf masters was also nice and convenient. I will surely return.

By far the greatest travel destination for an anniversary. The view is stunning, the staff are amazing. The jetted tubs and fireplaces in the rooms were perfect. Mid 50 degrees at night and near 70 during the day on Aug 2. Wow. Get the pizza down the hill, you won’t regret it. All in all… perfection.

We really enjoyed our stay! The view is fantastic. The staff extremely kind and friendly. Overall, the property is very quiet, quaint, and peaceful. It is an older hotel although everything is in good condition and very clean. The jacuzzi tubs are quite loud so we did not use them much. Also we did not try the coffee and pastries, but only because we are early risers, already going about our day by 8am. The town of Point Arena is a gem… we will be back!

What a beautiful surprise, the small lane to access and the feeling of being off the beaten path. The facilities are in pristine shape and very clean. The rooms are nice. The beds, very comfortable. We enjoyed the coziness of the fireplace. The buffet breakfast is small in choices but very good. The yogurt was some off the best I have had. The staff are great!!!

There is a ‘late’ check in fee after 8pm which we were not aware of. There is no one on property after that. We arrived at 9:30 and did not know what to do. Eventually someone answered the call box and came, angry and rude with us. They said the hotel does not control what Expedia tells us. This is not my problem as your customer or theirs. Ps this must happen frequently as another couple showed up after us.

Really enjoyed every single thoughtful touch on the property. You can tell that this is their pride and joy. The happy hour skewers and snacks were delightful. Beautiful location on top of the hill. The views of the ocean are stunning and the courtyard is very beautiful. There are lovely wooden carvings and corn hole and darts to play in the courtyard along with lovely seating. We enjoyed our private patio very much and our room was wonderful. Felt very thoughtfully and tastefully put together. The eco friendly fireplace was really cute. Staff is wonderful. Highly recommend and wish we stayed longer!
