The property offers lovely sprinkled ocean views throughout, giving us just the right touch of seaside atmosphere without being right on the beach. Self check-in was incredibly easy and made arrival stress-free. Everything was clear, and we felt welcomed even without onsite staff. One of the biggest highlights for us was how dog-friendly the property is — our pup felt just as at home as we did! There was plenty of space to walk around and enjoy the fresh air. The only part that was a miss was the fire pit — unfortunately, it wouldn’t light during our stay. It would have been a wonderful feature to enjoy in the evenings, but it didn’t take away from the overall peaceful experience. If you’re looking for a peaceful, low-key stay with beautiful surroundings and a laid-back vibe, this is a wonderful choice. My ONLY complaint, is that the fireplace cant be on for long before making the room feel like a sauna, and there is no way to turn town the flames. And the thermostat was a little hard to figure out how to manage the room temperature, even WITH the instructions provided. But not a huge deal. Other than that, I had a very comfortable stay. The only reason I’m not giving it an overall 5 stars is because instead of being charged half of the fee upon booking (like it stated we would be), we were charged the entire fee when we got there. We came from Sacramento for a weekend birthday getaway and it truly felt like a nice relaxing mini vacation. We both felt at peace staying here and loved the ocean view in the morning and evenings. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. We didn’t want to leave! It's a few minutes south of Mendicino. I was initially worried it may be noisy being just off the freeway hit it was very quiet. The space was clean. Easy access to the town and surrounding attractions. Communication with staff made for easy check in procress. Cabin is nice and comfortable and about 5 miles from the town of Mendocino where there is more going on. It was clean and comfortable but had to go to Mendocino for breakfast anyhow.
