“The cabin was tucked away at the back of the property within the ohia forest. It was perfect size for two people. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need. And the hot tub was a huge bonus. It was such a peaceful stay.”

“The cabin was wonderful and cozy! It was very private and feel like you have the island to yourself. It was close to Volcano national National park which is something we were looking for when finding a place to stay. The host was so kind and communicative.”

“A great deal and situated on Alicia drive south of the Kailua-Kona nightlife district. The place was clean and comfortable and very attractively priced. Definitely the Hawaiian Hale experience! The landlord was very nice and obviously invested in our having a pleasant stay. To access the unit younger to climb a stairwell - don't rent this unit if you are unable to handle stairwells or have small (mobile not babies!) children. Perfect for a couple! “The grounds and the view are great, the cabin has been partially restored. It was a very rustic kitchen set-up, but we made it work. Only real problem were ants. They could find a single grain of sugar anywhere.We named the rooster that hangs around there Hei-Hei. We also had the gecko brothers who kept sneaking into kitchen.The pond has toads in it and they sing at night, counted 6 one night. The water lily bloomed while we were there.The temp on the water heater needs to be turned up a little,……

“This place is very rural. Katherine is a very nice host.The unit itself is about 10 ft by 20ft. The inside table for dining is in the photo with a glass top. There are two stools, a coffee maker, a small fridge, and a Queen-sized bed on a platform. The mattress was very comfortable. It might be a bit challenging for older guests to get on the bed. There is an outside table with umbrella and chairs. The stove and sink with utensils and crockery are on a prep surface outside of the bedroom. The……

“We had great directions and notes left by host which made finding the cabin easy with little cell reception.We got there a little early and enjoyed the grounds, hiking and checking out the river and waterfalls.The host found us on the property and let us know our cabin was ready for early check in which was great and very accommodating because we got a nap in before going to our event we had to attend.Very helpful and responsive.
