However, in my opinion, the rooms could benefit from a slightly more modern style and decor, especially on the balconies. But hey, you can't have it all :)... "This is one of the best modern hotels we've stayed in. Interesting decor, helpful staff and good soundproofing. The rooms are a generous size: worth getting one with a sea view and a balcony. The location is good for a stroll into the centre of Menton and there are several local restaurants and cafes near the Marina."

"We had a great stay at Ersilia. Élisabeth was a fantastic host, communicating with us all the way through. Our GPS was playing up a bit, so we were a little late to meet her, but she waited patiently and took us all the way to the property. A Beautiful converted sheepfold, full of character, and with an amazing pool area, which we loved. There are supermarkets only 20 minutes away, Menton is very close too. We did Menton on our first day, then some shopping and pretty much stayed relaxing at the property all the way throughout our stay. It boast beautiful scenery, it is relaxing, and very quiet, dog friendly and all we were looking for. We were very well looked after and had a fabulous time. "

"We had a wonderful holiday in this house. It was spotlessly clean inside and out, had every equipment you would need for the kitchen and other areas. The pictures do not reflect properly how big the house is. The living area is open-plan and huge, the bedrooms are separate, so you can enjoy most of the house even if the children are asleep. Outside patio with a fully fitted kitchen (even dishwasher and extra TV) are fantastic. Pool is much bigger than expected (around 12m long by my crude estimate) with plenty of areas around it where you can find shade somewhere all day long. There are plenty of things to keep the children active, like ping pong table, trampoline and swings. As other reviews mentioned, you can hear the motorway, but you can get used to it very quickly and don't notice at all. The owners live on the first floor, but you would never know. Hafid was such a great host, had plenty of recommendation on local places and restaurants and communication through Whatsapp was super easy and convenient. In short it is the perfect house for both exploring the area as well as relaxing around the pool. 100% recommended."

"This villa was perfect for our family vacation! It was tucked away in the mountains but still close enough to jet down to the beach and to the neighboring towns. The views were absolutely stunning and we enjoyed many pool days and meals outside. The house was in great condition and had most of the things we needed. If anything was missing or not working, the amazing host Rhiannon was quick to respond and fix the issue. She also provided wonderful local recommendations and stocked key items at the house before our arrival to make our stay more comfortable - she was the best part of the entire experience! A few things to note; there were some bugs so I would suggest burning Citronella at night - which they have onsite. Also, you definitely need a car if you are staying here, you cannot walk anywhere. Also, as noted in the description and reviews, the road is very rough and windy, but you do get used to it. Lastly, they have a washer and dryer but the dryer doesn't dry the clothes all the way so you have to hang on a rack outside, which is fine in the summer when it's hot. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and will be back. It's the perfect place for families and friends to come together and connect, with beautiful amenities and surroundings. Highly recommend! "

"We stayed for17 days and travelled across most of the Cot d'azure in that time but be aware, parking can be difficult in Berre and 2 buses are needed to reach Nice. Only an uncovered duvet was left on the beds. We had to find covers in cupboards. No information from our contact. Whenever information was required, we had to contact the property owner because the property manager seemed unable to respond. This persisted until the final checkout and meant that all requests had to be relayed to both the manager and the owner. The property needs basic attention such as cleaning, the garden is barren due to lack of attention. On the plus side, the kitchen / utensils and the shower were great. No WiFi, noisy at night due to local lads drinking and loud discussions until 2 AM....but what else is there for them to do in a village on top of a mountain. Views are fantastic. The village is fine for a couple of days stay but no more. If you are even slightly nervous driving through switch backs on the mountain road, think again."

"Quelle chance de trouver un lieu pareil à Menton! Tout dans cette endroit respire l'ambiance de la campagne provençale. La maison située à flanc de colline est très calme . Le paysage depuis la terrasse est magnifique. Aucun vis à vis, peu de circulation , les soirées sont absolument tranquilles . La maison bien que très ancienne est bien équipée . Aucun bruit pour dormir à part celui des oiseaux le matin !Je recommande cet endroit pour se reposer et profiter de cette situation belle région sans la moindre reserve La pa"

"Amazing views of Nice, the Alps and the coast, just a 30 minute drive from Monaco, and a short walk to the centre of Peille. Very relaxing stay with my wife and dog. The host was very friendly and his breakfasts were so so good! The parking is helpful too. Hopefully we can stay again."
