Great getaway
Overall amazing trip! The home was beautiful and communication with the property manager was wonderful. Located in a gated community, with views, walking trails and a short walk to the neighborhood pond. Close enough to Yellowstone National Park and plenty of fishing access sites along the highway. Highly recommend!!!

One word....Amazing!
Cowboy Lake lodge was such an amazing place to stay and call "home base" for our family's week vacation in Montana. There was plenty of space for the 10 of us. The home was clean and everything noted in the listing. The view of Emigrant Peak is unbelieveable. Nice neighborhood with nice neighbors who gave us awesome suggestions regarding things to do and see.

We were attending my Daughter's wedding at Chico Hot Springs. The house could not have been better equipped. Although we rented it over two years ago, the homeowners honored our agreement through Covid. We could not have been more satisified. Thanks!

Early September Family Vacation
Our family of 5 ( 3 teenage boys) had an amazing week staying at Cowboy Ranch Lodge! The home exceeded our expectations: space , location , cleanliness, comfort , view , activity , etc.. The boys fished on the pond just adjacent to the property and had good successs with some nice sized Rainbows , we brought mountain bikes and road the trails around the Buffalo Ranch area and stumbled surprisingly upon a “ old town “ movie set being constructed on the property and ventured up the emigrant creek gulch road which was really fun area to explore on bike. The trips into Yellowstone were very easy and we had two fun days in the park. We also used the recommendation from the property manager for our guided fishing and whitewater rafting ! The proximity to emigrant ( 5 mins) , Livingston. 25-30, and Yellowstone ( 35-40 mins to north entrance) were nearly perfect for what we had planned for our week.

Beautiful, secluded property with fantastic views.
I've stayed at several houses in Paradise valley and this is a favorite. Quiet location on grassy plateau above Chico Hot Springs. House accommodated two families well. Large, functional kitchen for cooking and dining. Great patio for viewing sunset. Well stocked with cups, plates, tableware; etc; could use some updated cookware.

Cowboy Lake Lodge
We had a wonderful stay at the Cowboy Lake Lodge. The house was beautiful and offered spectacular views. It accommodated our extended family nicely with plenty of room for the kids to watch movies upstairs and the adults to relax downstairs. It's proximity to Chico Hot Springs was awesome as we were able to enjoy a soak every day and easily partake in the spa services. It also was convenient for enjoying several adventures in Yellowstone We enjoyed a marvelous stay and can't wait to return.

Fall getaway/Birthday celebration
We had a fabulous time! The house was absolutely amazing! The area was absolutely beautiful! Everything we needed for our getaway and birthday celebration was at the house! Being so close to Chico Hot Springs was a huge bonus for us to relax at the pool and then come back to relax by the fireplace. We will for sure be back for all our future adventures in that area. The house was perfect and we all left with some amazing memories!

Perfect family vacation home
We really enjoy our time at cowboy lake. The house had everything we needed and then some. The pictures of the home don't do it justice. Beautiful views of the mountains and the outdoor fireplace was a feature that we enjoyed. It was nice having Chico Springs so close, and also the local restaurants that were close by. Very clean. Brooke was prompt and attentive with any questions that we had. This home far exceeded our expectations and if we ever get back to Montana we would definitely rent this place again.

Open prairie charm!
We rented this home for 6 nights along with family members and a friend in August since it was only about 30-40 min to west yellowstone's entrance and 10 min to Chico hot springs for horse back riding. The home is gorgeous! High beamed ceilings, heavy nutty alder doors, bedrooms with private in suite bath, huge kitchen/dining/great room area, laundry room with full size W/D. Beautifully decorated in all rooms. I have to give it 4 stars instead of 5 for a couple of reasons: with waking up at 5am to drive to Yellowstone each day, we wanted to turn on the inside fireplace, since it was only in the high 30's in the mornings, however it was broken. The outdoor waterfall was broken as well, with really thick green algae growing from it, making it a haven for mosquitoes. With a home of this nature we thought the outdoor furniture would be more substantial and comfortable, but it was not. Just a few hard back metal chairs and a table. The A/C even when turned down to 65 at night never seemed to cool off the bedrooms. We thought it was due to the end of the season, why these things were not getting addressed, however, the maintenance man came and tried to fix both the fireplace and A/C to no avail. Housekeeping needs to be addressed more, especially in the kitchen with all counter tops, stove, sink, and even some of the pots, pans and utensils had "some" krud left on them. All the lighting & chandelier needs dusted as it was laying on top of them. With these things being noted, we would still rent this home again for the comfort, size, decorating, bedrooms with in-suite baths, and full size W/D, as the other small things can be addressed by maintenance and housekeeping. If you rent this lovely home, you will not be disappointed. Also noted: the little town of Emigrant has some great BBQ and a bakery, great general store. Be prepared when you spend the day in Livingston for giving you the "cold shoulder" since you will be "the outsiders" with the exception of a few places.

Summer our Family will never forget!!!!
We had the privilege of spending an entire month in this fantastic property. We were able to entertain 34 family members and friends over the course of the month. Everyone of them had a memorable stay. We took advantage of everything this property has to offer. Very comfortable for a large group of people. Easily slept 12 people and with kids in pack and plays we had 15 there at one time. Never felt closed in at all. We created fantastic memories visiting Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Bozeman, Livingston, Missouri Headwaters, Chico Hot Springs, Gardiner. Wildlife watching right from the back patio - mule deer, fox, jack rabbits, elk, hawks, osprey, eagles. Even had a pair of mule deer fawns who made the backyard their home. However our best memories are the sunrises and sunsets sitting on the back patio with friends and family just chillin!!! Activities available to us included swimming, fishing (caught plenty of trout in Cowboy Lake), whitewater rafting, scenic rafting, hiking, backcountry camping, exploring. The facilities at Chico Hot Springs that you have access to are great. Dining room and Poolside grill serve fantastic food. Will need reservations at least four days in advance for dining room. Emigrant General Store is a real resource for you as well. For a little store they pack in just about everything you may need quickly. Can't think of anything they didn't have. Even helped out with tools for guest with car problems. A few things worth mentioning to help you out when you choose this great property. Refrigerator/freezer is great however for a large group they are a challenge. You will want to bring a good cooler with you to store ice from the General Store. BBQ pit really needs to be replaced. Gave this feedback to property manager. Backyard creek is not natural and was not working during our stay. Hopefully it is fixed by the time you get there. Finally the property manager Brooke is fantastic. She was incredibly responsive during our stay and was a great resource for information. We asked her everything from where to get a haircut to where to take a car for service. She went overboard to help. You can feel very comfortable that your stay will be a great one with her on your side. Overall we could not have asked for a better place to stay, better location to operate out of and better people to deal with. Easily gets a five star rating from all 36 of us who called Cowboy Lake Lodge home this past month!!!!

Stunning views surround this luxurious vacation home
What a perfect home for a large group! More than enough room for gathering yet the layout still gave you privacy. The great room, which is open to the kitchen and dining room, couldn't have been set up more ideally for our rehearsal dinner for 50 people. The views from the patios were breathtaking, and much time was spent out there. Brooke always answered our questions in a timely fashion, which was really appreciated even though we never could get the Keurig coffee maker to work! The only reason we gave 4 instead of 5 stars was that there were some housekeeping issues. We only had about two squirts of shampoo in the master bathroom, not nearly enough for 2 people for a week. For the price of the house, I didn't think we should have had to go around to the other bathrooms to scrounge for more. All of the frying pans had dried food around the handles from previous guests, so we had to do a bit of cleaning before we could cook with them. That aside, I wouldn't hesitate to go back again and enjoy this stunning vacation home.

Great Family Vacation
Our family spent 5 day exploring the area and enjoyed every minute of it. Our children are 7, 5, and 3 and loved having so much space outside to run, and also enjoyed fishing in the pond. We had two doe that liked to visit the yard in the mornings which was so much fun to watch. The outdoor fireplace on the patio was wonderful for s'mores and just taking in the scenery. The house itself is amazing - tons of space and a great open kitchen area. I would definitely recommend this home and hope to return again!
